What About Those Short Oscar Nominees?
You Haven't Seen This Year's Nominees For Best Animated Short Film? We're Here To Help
Feb. 24, 2008
In 1969, a 14-year-old Beatle fan, Jerry Levitan, talked his way into a Toronto hotel room where, armed with a reel-to-reel tape deck, he convinced John Lennon to do an interview. That rare recording has become the basis of a fanciful animated film illustrating Lennon's discourse. (imetthewalrus.com)
(CBS) You say you haven't seen this year's nominees for best animated short film? We're here to help.
Following the links below you can see trailers, interviews with the filmmakers, and in some cases the complete film.
"I Met The Walrus" matches fanciful pictures to the words of former Beatle John Lennon, who was interviewed by a 14-year-old boy with a tape recorder back in 1969. What Lennon had to say is as thought-provoking now as it was back then.
