(CBS)  Between her high-profile divorce from Charlie Sheen and love affair with rocker Richie Sambora, actress Denise Richards has had plenty of drama in her off-screen life.

Now Richards is planning to open up her topsy-turvy world to the cameras in a new unscripted series for E! Entertainment Television.

"The show will give viewers an inside look at what it's like for Denise to go through these ups and downs while always in the public eye," said Lisa Berger, Executive Vice President, original Programming and Series Development for E!

Richards will be shown trying to balance her life as an actress and tabloid favorite with being a single mom in Hollywood.

"The Untitled Denise Richards Show" will be produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions, the company responsible for the hit series "Keeping Up With The Kardashians." Seacrest and Richards will executive produce the show.

The last several years of Richards' life reads like a telenovela.

The actress married Sheen in June 2002 and co-starred in "Scary Movie 3." The marriage was Sheen's second and Richards' first.

The couple met while shooting the independent film "Good Advice" in 2000 and began dating after Richards guest-starred on Sheen's former series "Spin City."

They filed for divorce in March 2005 while Richards was six months pregnant with their second child.

In 2006, Richards began dating Richie Sambora, estranged husband of her friend actress Heather Locklear. Richards said in a June 2006 interview with "Entertainment Tonight" that she and Sambora did not begin dating until he and Locklear had filed for divorce, but that she and Locklear's friendship was no longer "salvageable."

Richards and Sambora called it quits in early 2007.

I''ve met Denise many times and she is NOTHING like what she is portrayed in the press. She''s actually a pretty amazing person, a great and attentive mother (you have to ask yourself Why do the courts keep denying Charlie full visitation with those girls...maybe there is some merit in the claims. Maybe the one thing this show will solve is all of the stupid people who assume they know her from reading things in the press, will finally be able to see her for herself. If you don''t like her, don''t watch the show.

oh yuck - she''s such a media-ho -- is she really going to sell out her kids to get back on TV???

Doesn''t she get it? she''s a talentless hack - now time for her to find a real job and stop selling out those two kids for her own benefit.

The writers'' strike is over, put them to work so we can get rid of shows like this.

When reality shows start tanking in the ratings, it will be because of cringe-worthy productions like this. Why would you expose your kids to a larger media circus than they already have to deal with? I may think Charlie Sheen is a bit nutty, (no vaccinations for your kids? Really?), but he at least seems to be attempting to protect his kids. You had kids, Ms. Richards, it''s not about YOU anymore. Take some acting lessons, accept character actor roles, or just take a desk job like the rest of us.

It is time for publicity-seeking people like this to hang their heads in shame. I will not be watching.

I am tired of these b list celebs who think the world begins and ends with them. She traded a friend for a boyfriend (and it didn''t last)...so sad and she says Charlie is the bad one. She is exploiting her kids and she says Charlie is the bad one.
I have no plans of watching this pathetic excuse for a show. She has no talent, her best hope is to find a talented man to hang onto.

Oh, boy...more children to ruin like Lohan, Spears, and on and on and on!

No wonder Charlie did not want this to happen.

Nothing like exploiting your children to have them grow up normal.

What could she possibly have to offer the world, anyway?

Stace I am with you I will not be watching anything remotely like this I am tired of hearing about celebrites woes of marriage, drugs, cheating, DUI''s if rising to stardome makes you tun out like these celebrities then teach your children America what not to become.
There are still some good parents and people who believe in integrity, truth and honesty! I am sick of all these type of people!
