2 Computer Servers Taken Out With Trash

(CBS/AP)  Two large computer servers belonging to the Washington D.C. tax office have been found in an alley next to a commercial trash compactor. The office is at the center of a corruption scandal.

A building maintenance man found the three-foot-high servers, which are labeled "Property of D.C. Office of Tax and Revenue."

The Washington Post reports that federal investigators want to examine the servers for possible evidence in a case involving the embezzlement of more than $20 million in bogus property tax refunds.

Two former tax office employees are among 10 people arrested in the case.

Authorities also want to know if the servers contain any personal information about the city's taxpayers. Servers are powerful computers that can store large quantities of data.

"It's outrageous," Leslie Harris, president of the Center for Democracy and Technology, told the Post. "This is a tremendous failure in respecting privacy and security."

Leave to you idiots to make a story about a city tax department doing something wrong into something that is Bush''s fault--your intelligence is quite impressive. They should screen you idiots out at the polls to prevent you from voting for anyone--Rep or Dem.

The Great Emperor Bush is highly upset that someone did not have the brains to re-format the hard drives on those servers, wiping their memory out before trucking them out to the alley.

Even the Great Emperor knows (with his highly limited intelligence) that it is good policy to wipe out everything on a system''s hard drive before dumping the thing,"

Formatting the drive does NOT destroy the data, it''s still on the drive and CAN be recovered, drivesavers and other specialists can recover most if not all the data off the most destroyed and formatted drives you can imagine, it comes with a hefty pricetag though, around $1500 to $2000 for one drive.
About the only thing that will permanently destroy the data is smashing the drive into a pulp with a hammer, for drivesavers has recovered data off drives that have been thru fire, flood, dropped, infected with virus and worse.

Even the Great Emperor knows (with his highly limited intelligence) that it is good policy to wipe out everything on a system''s hard drive before dumping the thing, otherwise "terrrrrrorists" of those evil, cowardly Whimpo-crats might discover them. The Great Emperor learned of the "erase" key from reading the collected works of Richard Milhouse "the Trickster" Nixon.

To prevent such a thing from happening again, the Great Emperor has ordered that all employees of every agency, bureau, and department, learn where the "DELETE" key is on their keyboards and attend seminars on how to use it. The seminars will be conducted by Karl Rove!

SIG HEIL, BUSH!!!!
