(CBS)  Five European countries are investigating suspected terrorist plots, which track back to al Qaeda's sanctuary in the tribal areas of Pakistan, CBS News national security correspondent David Martin reports.

U.S. officials don't know if it's coordinated, but terrorists arrested in Spain for plotting suicide attacks against the Barcelona subway had traveled to the tribal areas.

They, in turn, had links to suspected terrorists in Germany, France, Great Britain and Portugal, where U.S. officials believe similar plots are in the works.

Martin reports that when U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey was asked how concerned he is on a scale of 1 to 10, he said, "11."

U.S. officials are so worried about the al Qaeda sanctuary in Pakistan, they have offered to send combat troops.

Pakistan's Prime Minister Pervez Musharraf has publicly rejected that, but he admits the stakes are high.

"We have to win," Musharraf said, "because if we lose, I think it will have an impact on the region and the world, maybe in the streets of Europe."

The United States also has plans to increase its training of the Pakistani army -- but that would take years, and the threat is now.

CBS news still doesn''''t know that Pervez Musharraf is Pakistan''''s President not their Prime Minister. So what news could you expect from them? lol

Iraqis already feel that the US is the biggest exporter of terror in the world.

In Palestine, after fifty years of promises, they are beginning to see that negotiating with the Israelis and Americans is a waste of time...

http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article19195.htm

On 9-11, as the planes struck their targets, the head of Pakistani intelligence was having breakfast in Washington with Senator Graham and Representative Porter Goss...the former CIA head appointed by Bush43.
Here he is pictured in Mexico City with the rest of the CIA''s OPERATION 40...an assassination team involved in the JFK assassination and drug dealing.

http://www.masterjules.net/cianewguy.htm

He was meeting on 9-11 with the ISI general who wired the alleged head of the 9-11 plot, $100,000....Now, we know who the real terrorists are...

Pakistan has nuclear weapons. Iran has the Russian missiles. The jihadists have their deepest desires almost within their grasp. This war is not about Iraq or Afghanistan or any other country. It is about stopping Islamic jihad. If the West doesn''t fight the game is over. The next game will be between Islam and China.

We are not here to debate Haiti.. Could you PLEASE stick to the subject at hand. George Bush went on National TV and said he could NOT give the UN Inspectors more time. He had to send our kids into Iraq right then. The reason given was that Saddam had WMD''s ready to us AND he, George Bush, had the "smoking gun". THAT was a LIE and it''s well documented. By the way, we didn''t INVADED Haiti... if your going to hate at least be accurate.

What is WRONG with you people?? I mean it''s okay to support a Political Party but to be SO stuck on one that you refuse to acknowledge the reality is next to being a cultist! I''m a Veteran of Vietnam and as such have followed this VERY closely. I also went to the Web Site where they have LISTED in Black and White the lies, dates, places and names. I KNOW George Bush LIED to us... I sat right there and LISTENED to him do it but I did not know it had been as much as it was. 935 different times he and his Administration LIED about the events leading up to and the events causing the death of almost 4000 of America''s best and brightest. I can not find ONE, not ONE, case where the statements listed was a truth.. not ONE. If you can I''d like to hear it!

Hey smuck:
Same principle, but different outcome, much more death and destruction due to George, and much more war profiteering corruption. Clinton''''s crimes were real, but comparisons of Bill to George are like comparisons between a firecracker and a nuclear bomb.

Being a womanizer certainly qualifies your hero as a lousy prez !

Not to forget that Haiti was a country in disarray, in a state of anarchy, having ousted Aristide, but Iraq was not. Clinton didn''t lie us into Haiti, Bush lied us into Iraq.

Having said that, basically I am for taking care of us first, and against invading any other country for any reason. If a country truly threatens us, (and by "us", I don''t mean corrupt multinationals interfering with other countries for their own profit, I do mean US territorial integrity and domestic citizens) we can easily eliminate that threat with a well placed nuclear strike, there is no need for protracted battle. What is happening in Iraq is simply corruption, and the theft of money from the US treasury.
