Australian Duo Performs Two Songs From Their Latest Release "Rise And Fall"

(CBS)  The Kin, an Australian duo whose music has been graciously compared to the early glory days of U2, Duran Duran and the late Jeff Buckley, will visit The Saturday Early Show's Second Cup Café.

The duo, made up of two brothers Isaac and Thorry Koren, will play two songs from their latest album "Rise and Fall," which was released on their own label, Aletheia Records.

"Rise and Fall" hit No. 69 on the Alternative Full Length Chart on iTunes.

"Each person gets something different out of them," Thorry said in The Kin's Web site bio. “They are not political or even spiritual. They’re about being human,” Isaac added. “We want people to be uplifted, to feel a heightened sense of self."

In the fall of 2007, the Koren brothers wrapped up their first “official” national tour, opening for Josh Kelley and the Pat McGee Band.

The Kin's music has crossed over to TV as well. Three songs off of their "Rise and Fall" album were featured on Lifetime's "Army Wives."

The brothers put their talent to good use by supporting the Save Darfur Coalition and the Madison Square Boys and Girls Club.

With such stellar comparisons, which also include Coldplay and The Cure, The Kin is sure to make audiences reminisce of the good ol' days, yet bring audiences into the new wave of music today.

The New York Times described The Kin as "bombastic," and TimeOut NY called their music "soulful."
