Many Tisdale Fans In Tizzy Over Nose Job

They Say She Just Doesn't Look Same; Will It Jinx Her Career?

(CBS)  "High School Musical" star Ashley Tisdale underwent rhinoplasty -- a "nose job" -- in late November, saying she needed to repair a "deviated septum" because she was having difficulty breathing.

Tisdale unveiled her "new nose" last month, and many of her fans were disappointed.

They say she doesn't look like herself anymore, and speculation began that she could be the next Jennifer Grey, co-star of the hit movie, "Dirty Dancing," who got a nose job and whose career never took off.

Grey and Tisdale aren't the only stars to have gotten rhinoplasty and, apparently, paid the price.

Ashley Simpson, Michael Jackson, and many others have gone under the knife to get new noses, and many observers feel their careers have suffered for it.

Still other celebrities, such as Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Anniston got nose jobs, with no apparent adverse career effects.

Then, there's that rare breed of celebrities, such as Barbra Streisand, who've refused to have cosmetic surgery, and gone on to have amazing careers.

On The Early Show Thursday, Star magazine Editor at Large Julia Allison discussed celebrity nose jobs.

"The more dramatic the nose job, the madder fans get," Allison observed.

That is so sad u guys Ashley can make whatever she wants he is 22years old and as her fans we need to respect her so she did a nose job, so what atleast she''s not drinking or hanging in jail. u have to LOk in the positive way she did it for her health and I am here to say Ashley will always be my ideol and I support her every move and you guys should too.

Did those of you who liked Ashley in High School Musical say she was awesome because of her nose? Or did you think she was an awesome talent? Do you think her talent was shaved away with the bump? Get real, it is her nose not yours and there are much more important issues facing this world today than a nose job!

I think that her nose looked great before. She may of have a deviated septum...but that has nothing to do with the bone (hump was obviously shaved down) or how much skinnier her nose is. I wish she would just stop trying to cover and just admit she had cosmetic surgery too. I think she looks really different and looked a lot better before. I guess people will just have to get used to it. It just makes me sad to think that she was not pleased with her nose she had before-it had character.

Its social acceptance which is a shame. However, most producers and agents encourage these people that if they improve their looks, their chances of getting other roles are higher.

Where do Stars get the idea that repairing their nose will improve their lives????? Talk about self-absorb (nose) people. They should find something better to do with their money.
