Bin Laden To Send Web Message On Iraq

(AP)  Terror leader Osama bin Laden will release a new Internet message that focuses on Iraq and an al Qaeda linked insurgent group, a terrorism monitoring group said.

The SITE intelligence group said the al Qaeda leader will discuss Iraq and the group the Islamic State of Iraq, a longtime foe of the Iraqi government and U.S. forces.

SITE, which provides counter-terrorism information to government and private groups, said the announcement of the impending message was posted to Islamic militant Web sites Thursday.

The posting said the message - titled `The way to contain conspiracies" - would last 56 minutes. It did not say when it would be released, but such ads usually precede the actual message by one to three days.

The authenticity of the posting could not immediately be determined. But SITE said it was signed by As-Sahab, the production branch that releases al Qaeda messages. The Internet message did not say if bin Laden's statement would be in a video or just audio form.

The message would mark the sixth public statement by the terror leader this year. Audio or video communiques were sent over the Internet on Sept. 7, Sept. 11, Sept. 20, Oct. 22 and Nov. 29. A video on Sept. 7 was his first in three years and was issued to mark the sixth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.

Al Qaeda has dramatically stepped up its messages - a pace seen as a sign of its increasing technical sophistication and the relative security felt by its leadership.

The terror group has also been campaigning to reach a broader audience, announcing that its No. 2 figure, Ayman al-Zawahiri, would respond to journalists' questions sent over the Internet. The deadline for the queries was Jan. 16.

What the new tape does mention is the BIG OIL connection. Binny is telling his friends in Iraq not to help the Americans rebuild a US backed unity government. By doing so they would be turning their backs on Islam & "It is meant to give the Americans all they wish of Iraq''s oil," Bin Laden said.

On September 14,2002 Rep. James McDermott at a Capitol Hill Briefing said that politics and oil, not fear that Iraq will use WMD are driving factors behind the presidents call for regime change. McDermott said there was an organized effort to squelch such discussions. "The political operatives in the white house have been very careful to spin it away from oil. Anytime anybody sees a connection they spin it the other way".
Who''s in charge of the National Media outlets? Why does the administration spin the news and prevent journalists from covering the real agenda? The administration cloaks the truth under the veil of national security. On September 14,2002 Rep. James McDermott said: "Political operatives in the white house have been very careful to spin it away from oil. Anytime anyone sees a connection they spin it the other way".

Iraq''s oil infrastructure was rebuilt when Cheney controlled Haliburton. Halliburton/Iraq deal was done through the French because it was illegal for US companies to deal with Iraq, except for the oil for food program which US oil companies participated in. Saddam was charging US interests more for oil then other countries and cutting off supplies at times so they took him out.

If Osama is truly dead it is humorously ironic that both his allies and his enemies benefit from keeping the appearance he is alive.

(FOX)
Brian....Corporate national news outlet owners are also members of the NPC and PNAC they tell the journalists in there employ subjects that are off limits.

The U.S. military has returned 10 Saudi detainees from the Guantanamo Bay prison to their home country, a Pentagon spokesman said Friday.

The transfer cuts the number of men now held at the isolated U.S. Naval station in southeast Cuba to about 275, a decline of nearly a third in the last year.

About 136 of the 759 people detained at Guantanamo since 2002 have been Saudi, the second-largest group after Afghans. The vast majority have been repatriated - despite the fact that more than 90 percent are still considered a terrorist threat.

The U.S. agreed to return the men with the understanding that Saudi Arabia will mitigate that risk, partly through a state program to reintegrate former detainees into civilian life, said Navy Cmdr. Jeffrey Gordon, a Defense Department spokesman.

Their detention has been a source of strain with Riyadh, a close U.S. ally.
