Flight Attendant Wins "Survivor" And $1M

(AP)  The final four "Survivor: China" contestants kept their alliance intact all season long, but only self-proclaimed schemer Todd Herzog was able to win the CBS reality show's $1 million prize Sunday.

Herzog, a 22-year-old flight attendant from Pleasant Grove, Utah, bested closest allies Courtney Yates, a 26-year-old waitress from New York, and Amanda Kimmel, a 23-year-old hiking guide from Los Angeles.

"I wasn't the strongest. I wasn't the smartest," Herzog said during the finale. "But I was definitely the most strategic."

Todd won the 15th edition of "Survivor" with four votes against Yates' two and Kimmel's one.

None of the opposing Zhan Hu tribe members was able to penetrate their alliance with fourth-place finisher Denise Martin, a 40-year-old lunch lady from Douglas, Mass. Earlier in the season, the quartet turned on fellow original Fei Long tribe members Jean-Robert Bellande and James Clement, who possessed but didn't use either of the game's two Hidden Immunity Idols.

I thought this show was very good this time. Mostly at the end. Todd DID play a good game !!! And worked the game and players the way your suppose to. Amanda played a good game to. And she''s so nice and pretty and smart. You just know she''ll go far in life and make good money doing it ! And I hope Denise will get a great job !! That school should have been proud of her,not demote her to toilet cleaning ! It thrills me that she was given $50,000 ! I hope she invest some of it and makes good on the investments !!! And James the man !! He also played a good strong game. And well deserved the $100,000 ! And then there''s Courtney. That says she''s a barhopper and party girl and hates kids. Didn''t deserve anything and didn''t get anything !!!! Way to go !! Yaaaaaay !!!!

What is wrong with CBS? Do they not know what rascism is??? I''ve will never watch Big Brother because of their promotion of the rascist behavior of Evil *** and the tormenting of Jen. I will now not watch Survivor because once again they flaunt the rascist behavior of Courney and her comments of Denise''s lifestyle. Shame on you, CBS.

It''s off my list also, but it''s not the lying because lying and conniving are both strong points in the game, and it is, after all, a game! On the last episode when Courtney told the camera''s that Denise didn''t deserve to win, that she was just "welfare" and should go back to her "loser world School Lunch Lady job", that totally disgusted me to hear that. It''s the exact same as prejudice with the only execption they are both the same color. Still it was absolutly prejudice towards her lifestyle and her job, and all respect towards Courtney left at that moment. I think Survivor should have left that out of the film to be honest. People who think that way are part of what''s wrong with our world these days and it didn''t need to be shown or known that she''d said that on uncaringly!

wow, u people r wierd, i loved this season of survivor, it was the best one yet!
and also, im sooo happy todd won, i wanted him to win since it was like the top 6. AMANDA WAS MY 2ND CHOISE, SHE WAS PREETY GOOD 2(PRETTY AND GOOD!)
survivor is the best show ever and i cant wait till survivor micronesia comes out in february 7!

Survivor is off my list of TV programs I want to watch. Each episode is a repeat of a previous one. Even the contestants are repeats of previous contestants.
I am tired of reality shows that are not reality. What would happen if the contestants were left on an island with no competition except to survive? There would only be one tribe and they would vote out the person who doesn''t pull their own weight. Eventually you would have a survivor. No politics. No allies. Just plain old fashioned competition to see who would live and who would die.

Snore. Yawn. Go back to around 2001 and I was addicted to this show year after year. Now haven''t watched it once at least since 2003. Am amazeed people are still watching this repetitive show. Only way I''d go back is if they''d wise up and show it in Hi-Def. Anything in Hi-Def is better than even great shows that aren''t. Clue to CBS: if you''re filming attractive people in a island paradise, YOU USE HI-DEF. Sorry, but if PBS and Discovery and Mojo and sports channels know this, why don''t YOU?
