Who says Halloween fun is just for humans?

(CBS)  If your kids still aren't set for trick-or-treating at this late hour, this is the place to be!

Maybe you waited too long, or your child doesn't like what he or she is supposed to be going as.

FamilyFun magazine Contributing Editor Deb Geigis Berry showed on The Early Show Wednesday how to make some easy, cute and cheap costumes using ordinary household items -- in time for Halloween rounds.

They're all featured, along with many, many more, in the magazine's October issue. To see how to make dozens of costumes, click here.

None of the costumes Berry showed had masks, which many schools ban.

Among the ones she featured:

FAB '50s WAITRESS
No sewing is required for this diner diva's uniform -- all the trimmings are glued in place.

GOOD EGG
This costume is lightweight and easy to get on and off, and it makes an eggs-cellent companion for the Fab '50s Waitress.

SWEET CONE
Created with fiberfill, foam, and fabric, this ice-cream cone costume is truly soft-serve -- and very comfy.

MP-ME PLAYER
Fun finishing touches make this costume really rock. The music player sports a pair of old headphones, with the cord bundled and tucked safely into a waistband.

BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLY
Let your little one choose craft foam, fabrics, and boa trim in her favorite colors, then use our printable templates for the wings to make this costume take flight.
