- Bush's Year At Camp David
President Bush was visiting Camp David this weekend, but the Secret Service said that all of the incidents occurred while Mr. Bush was attending a memorial for fallen firefighters in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
The Secret Service tells CBS News all of the incidents were believed to be inadvertent, noting that flight restrictions are routinely changed whenever the president travels to or from Camp David.
WTOP Radio is reporting that at least one plane was escorted by F-16 fighter jets to the ground at the Westminster Airport in nearby Carroll County.

- "Clinton/Gore left a BUDGET SURPLUS which Bush promptly squandered. The stockmarket soared, and real wages grew during the Clinton presidency."
Check your facts pal. The REPUBLICANS amassed a surplus. Clinton /Rubin squandered it with their "economic" policies and threw us into a recession. We were coming out of because of President Bush''s tax cuts but 911 threw the economy into a spin.
What exactly are you smoking there in the trailer park, dude?
Ad Hominem attacks the best you got? Move-On and KOS are proud of you. Sane people see you for who you are. - Reply to this comment

- Hey thgdriver,
You are not a pilot, right?
It may be on the charts, but for a VFR pilot it is very easy to be off by a handful of miles in the middle of nowhere.
As an IFR pilot, the controller tells you where you are cleared. You may or may not have any ground reference because of clouds. If the controller goofs up and does not divert the aircraft, it is still the pilot''s fault.
The problem in my mind is that the prohibited area is really poorly implemented and does little to improve the security around the president.
It is that same faux security that we see out of the TSA. The bureacrats believe that if they make life miserable for you then you will believe they are doing their jobs. - Reply to this comment
- The camp has been well marked since the Eisenhower administration back in the 50''s. What a bunch of boobs.
Missed opportunity for the F16''s to take some practice shots, you know, just some tracers across the nose of those pilots that don''t or can''t pay attention. If they do it my way, They would never forget again, thats for sure. - Reply to this comment
- "...our worst President in the history of this country,..."
Nope... you''re dead wrong here. That honor goes to Jimmah Carter... and he keeps reminding us of that fact every day.
"...the new President and work on the real issues...climate change,..."
Non issue here. Climate change, as the left perceives it is nothing more than a multi-million cash cow of a hoax for them. There is no Anthropogenic Global Warming. Just an opportunity for those on the left to get rich quick off of the backs of others.
"...economy,...
The economy is going great guns under President Bush. He got us out of the Clinton/Gore recession and things have never been better. So your point here is???
"...and education for our children"
You libs control education. So, just when will you start fixing your feel-good screw-ups? - Reply to this comment

- The problem is that the 1 mile of airspace around Camp David expands to 30 miles when el presidente (geting used to speaking Mexican) drops in. The FAA posts a notam (notice to airmen) the day before, but quite often everyone does not become aware of these pop-up notams and just go about their regular flying only to get violated by the FAA. I don''t believe that any have ever been any kind of serious security threat, but that isn''t how the security folks play the gotcha game.

- Man, the Bush haters are going big time! Everything through the prism of hating bush - one of the greatest presidents.
It seems like the press would be focusing in on a presidential Candidate speaking at a church, discussing the election and his credentials. A violation of church and state? Election laws? Non-profit staus?
Oh yeah, he''s black and a democrat. NO news story here. - Reply to this comment
