(CBS)  Nancy Giles has been a contributor to the Peabody Award-winning CBS News Sunday Morning since 2003, voicing her opinions on everything from politics and race to pop culture and the conspiracy of high heels.

As an actress, she was in the ensemble cast of ABC-TV's Emmy Award-winning series "China Beach," and was the announcer and sometimes co-host of "Fox After Breakfast." On film: "Joshua," the documentary "Before the Music Dies," "True Crime," "Working Girl," and "Big." On radio: "The Jay Thomas Morning Show" (New York City), and "Giles and Moriarty" with CBS News correspondent Erin Moriarty (Philadelphia). "G&M" won back-to-back "Gracie" Awards (American Women in Radio and Television) for Best Talk Show. You've also heard her voice on commercials, animated series, and subliminally in plus-size clothing stores.

Nancy toured with Chicago's Second City, won a Theatre World Award for "Mayor: The Musical" Off-Broadway, and has written and performed two solo pieces: "Black Comedy: The Wacky Side of Racism" and "Notes of a Negro Neurotic." She's adapting that material, essays, and other embarrassing stories for a book she's praying people will buy.

Nancy: I know you to be a strong supporter of our new President. He's fundamentally altering the landscape at almost every turn with less experience in running anything than most state representative. Why such a softball topic this morning? Newscasts past? I really don't know what it was about, it was hard to listen to while wondering how you couldn't address the actions we all shortly face. You'll be in the group paying far more taxes for many years to come...that's good for you?

Hi Nancy,
I always look forward to your wit and simple words of wisdom, on CBS News Sunday Morning. The show is a Sunday Morning ritual, and my Sunday's are not complete unless I am up in time to see it. It's a bonus for me when you do your commentaries.
I would hope that you too would join Twitter. I have found it a great way to bring like minded ways together And since I am a grassroots activist, who worked very hard to get President Obama elected, Twitter was a very good tool. It's also a way to make new connections with some very cool people who were not yet on to Twitter, and to follow in real time enormous events. It was how the Miracle on the Hudson, among other events. So there is a lot of good in Twitter.
While you were on the show today, I searched for you on Twitter, hoping I would find you there and be able to send you a quick Kudo's (in 140 words).
I am a single mom of 2 sons in California. My youngest is a special needs child. Yesterday while I was on Twitter, he had a seizure. I got him stabilized and during his exhauste period of sleep which always follows his seizures, I sent out a quick Tweet, telling people what wa going on, because some people were waiting for me to send them info. The response and love that came back to me was amazing. And since my entire family has passed away except for my 2 sons, it was really nice to have others to just talk to, and know that I was not really alone. I often say that I am like a Lighthouse, I stand out on the edge all by myself keeping everybody else safe But that can be a very hard job.
I also have found it a great tool to help fight off the right wing nut attacks on President Obama. They say that a bumpersticker on a car affects 100,000 people per year. So I'm all into getting people to see think and see the truth is not in the hate and fear mongering of the right wing. In this same theme, Twitter reaches millions with each tweet.
Well, I just wanted to ask you to please join Twitter, and keep up all your good work. I love to watch you and hear what you have to say. You make me smile and make me think about things, sometimes from a completely different point of view. Exactly how I think together we could reach minds on Twitter. You can find me @EileenLeft on Twitter.
Thanks for all the smiles you have already brought to your viewers.

To RedDuke3:

For starters, try writing in clear English. If you don't know what I mean, pick up a copy of Strunk & White. (If you don't know what Strunk & White is then forget it. You are hopeless.)

Secondly, What does Obama have to do with Nancy?
