(CBS)  Nancy Giles has been a contributor to the Peabody Award-winning CBS News Sunday Morning since 2003, voicing her opinions on everything from politics and race to pop culture and the conspiracy of high heels.

As an actress, she was in the ensemble cast of ABC-TV's Emmy Award-winning series "China Beach," and was the announcer and sometimes co-host of "Fox After Breakfast." On film: "Joshua," the documentary "Before the Music Dies," "True Crime," "Working Girl," and "Big." On radio: "The Jay Thomas Morning Show" (New York City), and "Giles and Moriarty" with CBS News correspondent Erin Moriarty (Philadelphia). "G&M" won back-to-back "Gracie" Awards (American Women in Radio and Television) for Best Talk Show. You've also heard her voice on commercials, animated series, and subliminally in plus-size clothing stores.

Nancy toured with Chicago's Second City, won a Theatre World Award for "Mayor: The Musical" Off-Broadway, and has written and performed two solo pieces: "Black Comedy: The Wacky Side of Racism" and "Notes of a Negro Neurotic." She's adapting that material, essays, and other embarrassing stories for a book she's praying people will buy.

Your conversation w/ Rebecca Jarvis on Saturday morning was very unintelligent. As Dr. Laura mentioned twice during the original airing and once during the apology, her use of the 'N'-word was a question of why it is acceptable in for some African Americans to use it with affection toward each other in a fraternal sense.
The fact that you said you were on her website looking for more information on both Dr Laura and her philosophical views was said with such confidence. I became incredulous a minute later when you were questioning what kind of doctor Dr. Laura is. If you were searching so diligently on her site, it is evident in her bio that her PhD is in physiology, and has a post-doctoral certificate in counseling; I had never been to before, but was able to find within 15 seconds of being there.
Yes, we do have differing histories and experiences, but if you are to be a journalist, research your stories, or stay on Sunday's with your opinion pieces.

Ms. Giles
I enjoy--and agree--with your commentary. So much misinformation is spread simply because people choose not to listen to the whole story. I'm saddened that such a large percentage of the public choose to not use their brains.

"Tempest in a TeaPot" What a cheap, underhanded, false and BS comment...

I gave the lady the benefit of the doubt and listened to the whole speech. You and Briebart are both guilty of parcing and selective editing.

Hi Nancy,

Our Sunday morning routine includes CBS Sunday Morning every week. Wouldn't miss it. Love your commentaries and feature stories.

As an instructor and the marketing director for a voice acting training company (www.voicecoaches.com), I wanted to thank you for the terrific piece on voice acting. You did the profession proud. One of the actor's comments about using the "smile" was right on target, something we stress here at Voice Coaches. Congrats on all your success on and off camera.

Nancy, I've always wanted to get into voice-overs and, as always, enjoyed your piece this morning. I missed the name of the woman who does the casting. Would you please give it to me now? Do you have any advice on how to get started?
I always love your segments. You convey such common sense with humor. You make me smile. Thank you.

Hi Nancy,

I just watched your feature story about voice over artists. It's rare to see these and I thoroughly enjoyed it, as I've been recording voice overs for more than 22 years!

Thanks,

Chris

Nancy,

I so agree with your opinion piece this morning! Doing SOMETHING about health care reform is far better than doing NOTHING! I don't understand what others don't understand about that! Of course, we are the country who votes in a new president by a great majority because we want change but then turn around and re-elect the SAME folks to Congress who don't want anything to change! Ah well!

Hi Nancy,

Your interview with the Bergman's was spot on! Why didn't CBS Sunday Morning News show display it on the site? Do you know when they will have that on, it was magical. I really enjoyed it very much and would like to hear it again, as my other half was speaking to me halfway through it and I missed it. I espescially was pointing out to him the part where he brings Mrs. Bergman's breakfast on a tray AFTER he's played tennis. How endearing. I think my other half missed that part. smile. No he cooks me breakfast every Sunday morning as well, so I can't complain, he just refuses to serve it to me in bed!
