Fred Goldman and his daughter, Kim, appeared on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" Thursday to discuss their decision to publish the book. Simpson was acquitted in 1995 of killing his ex-wife, Nicole, and her friend Ron.
A federal bankruptcy judge awarded rights to the book to Goldman's family to help satisfy a $38 million wrongful death judgment against the former football star.
Winfrey says she won't buy or read the book.

- This dirtbag was aquitted because the prosecutors, judge, as well as the jury were a bunch of star struck morons! If this guy were on video killing Nicole and Ron, they still would have aquitted him. The evidence of guilt was there as plain as the nose on anyones face that he did it, but yet he''s free. Yeah thats justice for ya! Goldmans, sell the book, donate the money to charity so everyone else will shut up, and be done with it.

- Here''s the quote of the article.
"Simpson was acquitted in 1995 of killing his ex-wife, Nicole, and her friend Ron."
It''s amazing how justice system is raping this man. How can a person be financially responsible for a crime that a jury determined he didn''t commit?
Sure it may be the popular thing to attack OJ but think about it, what if it were you that the legal system was abusing? - Reply to this comment

- OJ is todays "hunted man". He will never be allowed to forget this crime he committed. He is a marked man in modern times. I thought he was going to keep looking for the guy who did it? Must be he ran out of mirrors.
As for Goldman''s always going after him...why should oj be allowed to have any kind of the "good life" when their son is dead, at his hands. If he were in prison he wouldn''t have anything, why should he out of prison. He has more than other murderers have-freedom. Or could it be the penal system didn''t want him, or be responsible for his execution. The gloves didn''t have to fit his hands for him to wear them to commit this heinous crime. How many go out and buy gloves to make sure they fit before you commit murder? Why not do a DNA test on the gloves, who was wearing them, tests would show for sure? Where is CSI LA when you need them? - Reply to this comment
- "Since that occurred, he was protected from double jeopardy, however a civil court decided it was his fault, and awarded a $38 mil to the goldmans, almost sounds like double jeopardy. If you can''''t prosecute you can sue."
So you''re comfortable citing the law as it pertains to double-jeopardy in criminal actions; yet you are NOT comfortable with the law as it pertains to allowing civil actions as separate from criminal? If your stance is "that''s the law", then you have to apply that to the civil action... because that''s the law as well.
And if it''s true the jury found OJ not guilty out of fear of rioting... well, that''s hardly acceptable as a matter of justice - but it wouldn''t have surprised me much if rioting followed a guilty verdict. I doubt that was a specific motivation though - although related in the sense that the mentality which might have driven people to riot were OJ to have been found guilty, is the same mindset that ultimately set him free despite the horric crimes he committed. - Reply to this comment
- You''''re telling the father of his murdered son that whether or not OJ did it is immaterial? And the cops who only beat (not killed) a not so innocent Rodney King were found innocent, didn''''t seem to stop thousands from pillaging & looting over it...

Many things out of kilter here. First off, I believe OJ did it. But, living in this country, where one is innocent until proven guilty, and the DA/Prosecutor did NOT prove OJ''s guilt, therefore the jury had to acquit. Since that occurred, he was protected from double jeopardy, however a civil court decided it was his fault, and awarded a $38 mil to the goldmans, almost sounds like double jeopardy. If you can''t prosecute you can sue. It also caused the right of the police to enter property without a warrant, just because they have a suspicion. The cop that climbed the gate into the estate, because he was afraid for OJ''s life, give me a break. What about the browns, Nicole was married to him, yet her family gets little if anything from the settlement.
As for why they acquitted, they may have feared another riot if found guilty. I remember the fracas after the Rodney King verdict. Even in my town people were throwing bottles and bricks at cars driving by. - Reply to this comment
- "How much malice can one hold for so long."
If your son is viciously murdered? I''d say for the rest of your life...
"If it''''s only for the evil money, he becomes just as bad as the person who he THINKS commited a crime."
He KNOWS who killed his son, and even if it were just for money, being greedy is nowhere NEAR as bad as murdering two innocent people.
"O.J. was found by a jury of his (peers?) to be innocent, whether he was or not is immaterial"

- If they took the nomey to open up a battered womans shelter or a legal defence for victums of domestic violence but no it''s going in there pockets just publising the book is questionable.

- Americans would do best to avoid the gold digging gold-mans, who would sell their own if the few pieces of silver are right.
Instead, Americans should advise their sons to NOT BE A THIEF AND GO MESS WITH ANOTHER MAN''S WOMAN!
OJ is INNOCENT.
However, "if he did it", that audacious and disrespecting wife thief, goldman, was just begging OJ to not remain innocent. LOL - Reply to this comment

- Jesus Christ people... their family member was brutally murdered with a knife - and despite all the mounds of irrefutable evidence proving beyond any construct of reasonable doubt, the man who everyone knows did it got away with it right in front of them... and you''re sitting there saying they should just "let it go... move on..." etc... even suggesting they''re simply in it for the money? Amazing... You really gotta love it when people think the mere possibility of monetary motivation somehow proves ACTUAL motivation - and they often think themselves so clever to say, "hey, I deduced that there''s money to be made here... that MUST be the primary reason". How about we put our anger where it belongs... towards OJ and the jury that let him get away with murder.

- It''s always about the money! This is blood money and the Goldmans are just as bad for trying to squeeze every drop of blood$ from Ron AND Nicole regardless of their denials. It seems that they would never be able to find peace because of this greed for money. It''s not about seeking justice for Ron at all.If it is, they should donate EVERY penny to charitable causes, homeless shelters or homes for the abused. We can then see whether it is justice or greed. I bet that greed wins!

- Fred and Kim Goldman will one day look back and realize that OJ won. He wins with every breath they take, because their hatred of him is sucking the life out of them.

- This shows that their number one priority is money. They have been cashing in on the death of their son for years.
When the kid was alive the family didn''t seem to want anything to do with him and according to the stories at the time he and his father had no relationship.
Then all of the sudden Fred Goldman became the champion for justice for the son he had nothing to do with when he was alive. He also made as much money as he could along the way. - Reply to this comment
- I understand the despair the golmans must feel but its been 12 years and Fred goldman and his daughter are whiners who need to get a life. Don''t get me wrong - OJ did it and his time will come. But enough is enough with the goldmans.

- come on America, why would oj write a book with this title if he didn''t murder nicole and ron?? he''s just having a grand ole time dangling the ''see i did it and didn''t get caught'' carrot in front of the goldmans'' eyes. i don''t know if i''d still be wasting my time pursuing the creep the way the goldmans are - but hey, everyone''s gotta do what they gotta do! if this gives them peace, so be it. who am i to judge them - what''s the saying ''walk a mile in my shoes''. i think oj is a despicable, egotistical, evil maniac that''s enjoying every minute of this. he''s not good enough to shine my shoes.
