K-Fed's Lawyer: Spears Should Pay The Bill

(AP)  Kevin Federline's lawyer wants Britney Spears to pay some of her ex-husband's legal expenses in their divorce case, court documents show.

Attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan said in an Aug. 26 declaration that Federline has "no net income" after various expenses, and that his spousal support of $20,000 a month ends in November. Spears, meanwhile, brings in an average monthly income of $737,868.

Spears is "clearly the 'monied party' " in the dispute and should pay $50,000 for Federline's litigation expenses, Kaplan argued.

Timeline: Britney's Meltdown
An after-hours message left Thursday with Spears' attorney was not immediately returned.

Spears married Federline in October 2004, eight months after her first marriage to childhood friend Jason Alexander was annulled. She cited irreconcilable differences when she filed for divorce from Federline on Nov. 7, 2006.

The couple's divorce became official July 30.

Since February, Spears, 25, and Federline, 29, have shared custody of their sons, 23-month-old Sean Preston and 11-month-old Jayden James.

A hearing is scheduled for Sept. 17, but an attorney for Spears has requested a continuance until November.

My advised to K. Fed get a job. You cannot get free meal for the rest of your life. Be a MAN, dudes. Have respect with yourself. First you leave your fiancee while pregnant because you find a gold mine out of Britney Spear then you want sole custody with your two son with Britney what happen with you other kids? You just want to be on news thats the reason why you are pestering Miss Spear. She is a hardworking Mom and she has two kids to raise. My advised for Britney is be strong this is just part of your life journey and do not ever lose hope for you will overcome this craziness believe in yourself and keep focus because there is a lot of loving fans who support you. GOD BLESS YOU!

I do not know what its like to live a life in Hollywood, but I do know what it''s like to go thru a divorce with children. No matter if the divorce was agreed upon, its still tough to go thru none-the-less. I don''t agree with some of the decisions that Britney made shortly after her seperation from K-fed, neither do I agree with some of my choices I made as a parent after my divorce. So, with that said, I admire her for being a loving mother that is always pictured with her boys, even while working! That means alot to see a hollywood mother so involved with her children and be going thru the most stressful time in her life!
As for K-Fed...He had nothing before he married Britney. He should leave with nothing!! He needs to grow up and be a man!! I am sure it was britney that paid for his kids from other mothers while they were married. He is worthless and a terrible example of a loving and devoted father. If he was a real man he would have never lost his marriage! There''s NO doubt Britney loved that man!
So, I say...Pay your own bills for once, Kevin!

I think he should get the kids and I think she should pay to support them - after all, she just HAD to have him, enough so that she paid him to leave his prior girlfriend who was expecting their second child. She got him accustomed to having the finer things in life, and she is the one who was alway whining about him not spending enough time with her or the first little boy. Now, he WANTS to be a good dad and spend more time with the boys, and since his talent is non-existant (other than making babies, I mean) she should pay for a household where he can take care of them - at least she would know where he is at night, and that the boys are safe and sound at home with Daddy.

He''s not the first to want and get more than he deserves for being married to the bread winner. It was predictable and she was warned. She wanted the no-nothing...had to have him and no one could tell her differently. Hard heads eventually learn and she is one hard head. Serves her right. Maybe next time she will listen..but given her track record and how ignorant she is judging from the dumb a..ss stuff she says and does just to be noticed, I doubt it. She will learn, though, eventually. In the meantime...learn to play like the big boys have had to play. Welcome to liberation...''give me more'' is what she hears K-fed saying.

K-Fed or Fed-EX is a POS. He''s getting 20K a month for the next 3 months, that''s 60K and enough to pay his bills.

Time for *** for brains to get a real job. Welcome to the world of work loser.

While I have no respect for Spears as a mother, I have even less for him as a father and as a man. He can always get a job at McDonald''s, Albertson''s, etc. if he wants to eat. He seems to be in good health. The attorney is just as bad. His client is Federline and not Spears. Federline is the once that has to pay him not Spears. I hope the judge sees it my way.

Yeah, this custody thing isn''t about money at all is it KFed?

What a slime ball. And the media just eats it up like he''s the messiah and Britney is satan. Funny how he was such a loser to the press while she was married to him.
