President Bush's longtime friend and political mastermind Karl Rove resigns.

(CBS/AP)  White House pranksters are literally marking the wrap-up of top aide Karl Rove's career at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, reports CBS News White House correspondent Peter Maer. Rove's Jaguar, parked in the lot adjacent to the West Wing, has been covered with plastic wrap. Two stuffed eagle toys are mounted on the trunk, and signs posted on the car read "King Karl" and "I love Obama."

Rove, the top White House political strategist who recently announced his resignation, left his car on the driveway while visiting Texas and traveling with President Bush. He was due back in Washington Wednesday evening.

Since the lot is heavily patrolled by the Secret Service, reports Maer, the joke looks like an inside job.

Perfect reason for joking about it.

I don''t think that this [very brief] article was intended to evoke such responses. It appears to be a rather light hearted piece, in what is normally a very chaotic arena.

It''s lose, "Bub". Spelling bee, indeed.

"...while visiting Texas and traveling with President Bush..."

They are telling you that this Pillsbury Hitlerite has not really resigned.

What are we going to do about it??

Sargent huh? Of what? Ignorance. You and your ILK are nothing more than venomous and vitrolic. Your nasty comments and antics show who you are and why you should be feared.

All LIBERAL jackers are hacks. You refuse to read truth. K Rove is on your hatehit lists solely because he is a friend of President Bush. That shows you stupid ignorance and juvenile immaturity.

Same dirty trick he played on Dan Rather when he gave him those fake Bush AWOL Documents.

I''''m sure if this was done to Obama the title would be "Vandals attack democratic leader''''s car"
Funny how news is so tilted

What is "tilted" here is the tiresome mantra, "the liberal media."
The media already knew it was an inside job before they even reported it, and as such, was much more likely "pranksters" than vandals.
If vandals were able to get into the west-wing parking lot, that would have been a story indeed for the "liberl media."

Rove may have done this himself or had someone do it. That is one of Rove''s dirty card tricks up his brown-shirt sleeve.

I like the part about how the income tax is illegal. It must be a fantasy films production.
Posted by gkc99 at 05:24 PM : Aug 29, 2007

Ahhh...Sounds like the comments of either a Tax preparer or IRS employee. Worried your job might be in danger?
Interestingly, there seems to be a move on Capital Hill to CHANGE the tax system with this little gem of information one of the points along with the huge BIASED boondoggle it has become. Everything from going to a "national sales tax" to something called "the Fair Tax" is being proposed. Not time for cheering in the streets yet but it''s a start.

As far as the usual frat boy style (YAWN) goodbye prank - guess his cronies found it funny. I just wonder HOW MANY Jaguars and other LUXURY lifestyle things he''s leaving with. Sort of RUBS it in the face of the rest of America that it''s out there the same time the statistics how ONLY the TOP 5 percent had ANY real gain in their standard of living and the poor when inflation is factored in have LOST ground having to put MORE members of the family to work just to keep up to where they were 5 years ago.

So, the frat boy NEOCONS are partying while REAL Americans WORK HARDER FOR LESS.

Let them eat cake Karl, let them eat cake...

Truth, Justice, and The American Way.

Superman.

Dead.

The Party boy Pranksters and M.C. Rove.
