(AP)  Fox News and a black political group say they will not hold a Sept. 23 Democratic presidential debate in Detroit, which the leading candidates already were planning to skip.

A new date had not yet been set, Fox News spokesman Michael Murphy said Thursday.

The campaigns of U.S. Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama and former Sen. John Edwards had said they would not participate in the debate. Opponents have criticized Fox as biased against Democrats.

The debate, co-sponsored by the Congressional Black Caucus Political Education and Leadership Institute, was to have been held at the Fox Theatre.

Institute chairman U.S. Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., said in a statement on the group's Web site that the "overwhelming number of party presidential debates has created a scheduling challenge."

"Revisiting the CBC Institute's debate schedule will allow the time necessary to complete all debate logistics in an effective manner," he said. The group had said it planned to sponsor two Democratic and two Republican presidential debates.

Nobody with any credibility would do anything with Fox news. Their fan base and agenda is so right wing and fascist, that only one of like mind could stomach them. The organization that sought to do this debate should have known better---unless of course they were already shills for the far right, who must have figured that the Democratic candidates would never suspect getting set up by a minority group.

Fox is like Bush, not credible--a blight on America and only for the gullible and the moronic.

What kind of crazy story is this anyway? The Democratic candidates said they would never hold a debate on sleazy unfair and unbalanced Fox News anyway, so how could they hold a debate with no candidates?

Candidates afraid to answer hardball questions. If they were upfront, the issues would be the debate, not the forum. Edwards afraid of his hedge funds, RamaLama not strong on international affairs or anything else, and the Clintoid well she''s an ole socialist hag. What sort of intelligent debate could they offer the American people. The are all little puppets of MoveOn.Org and the Looney Left with no agenda and no appeal. Glad to see it cancelled.

Hillary''s mammary glands are a bit small, don''t you think. Edwards looks like a pinup boy at a gay parade. Obama looks thinly disguise Al Qaeda sleeper. Chris Dodd never looked better when he was alive. Bill Richardson looks strangely like the sergeant in the old Zorro series. Biden looks like a prop in an MGM mummy thriller.

If Democrats can''t stand up against questions within a civil debate on FOX, how on earth could they be tough enough to stand up against terrorism?

Weakness and cowardess is not what America needs!

The Dems should promise to hold a debate on Fox as soon as the Repubs promise to hold a debate on Air-America. Besides, it looks like the Repubs are afraid of youtube, so they don''t have an issue on this.

Nearly nine-in-ten Democratic voters (88%) who offered an opinion of Clinton express a positive view %u2013 with 38% saying they have a very favorable opinion. That is the highest percentage that any of the seven 2008 candidates tested %u2013 Democrats or Republicans %u2013 receives from their parties%u2019 voters.

Anti American enterprise and Congress should hold hearings on their role in the Neo Conservative political Sect and the special lobbies puppeting this absent President Bush.

FOX Noise is the TV wing of the RNC, just like The Washington Times is the print wing and just like Pravda was of the Soviet Communist Party. Why would anyone want to be on their "News" anyway? All their "news" people will do is to slant questions to try to cause arguments or to take comments out of context to lie about them. I wouldn''t expect the democrats to take part in a debate by FOX Noise anymore then I would expect the to take part in one moderated by Cheney or Rove.

In a word: Cowards. Where is the surprise. Sure, Fox News does bring out intense questions and the fact Dem''s are afraid of the questions is a clear indication they are nothing more than small minded people, and clearly huge wish makers who make big plans and never follow through. Look at congress!Change is immenant, and if we all have the balls to vote strong and take a risk, the new Republican can do what we want. Must have foresight and must vote smart.

You wish. The loonies on the left have real meaty questions. Like do you think homosexuality is a choice? Like that''s real mainstream now isn''t it? Fox wouldn''t stoop to that kind of commentary - sexual orientation is nobody''s business and we''d like to keep it that way.

Well then you don''t mind being George Soros''s puppet now do you. You know that guy that was thrown out of France, England for trying to short the pound and banned in China. Seems like Rupert doesn''t have a plan for a new world order like little Georgie boy who goes about telling the loonies on the left that America is the only impediment to a new world order. That''s your baby Soros who wants to be your next shadow President for all the money he''s pumped into these three candidates on the looney left.

God Fox is starting to sound like a 3 year old "Well they won''t come over and play mommy boo hoo hoo". God Grow up the Dems already said they won''t be doing Fox and that is the end of it.

Murdoch was quote of the century "If I don''t like the news buy the paper."

So please tell me I would want to watch a slanted news show. That he will never live down bye bye WSJ.

No, no no, you neocons are too tough. The American people demand to know what kind of underwear the candidate wears, which Fox would never ask. Nor would they ask "what kind of tree you would be if you could be a tree?" and do not forget the famous questions from the frigging snowman.

Oh, right in the 60''s it was the rainbow coalition, now the left can claim just about every fragment on the rim of society under it''s umbrella, like al-Qaeda, CAIR, Illegal Aliens, Happy activists, atheists, and other varied and sundry moonbats. The bible beaters are scarey but al-Qaeda is a bumpersticker. Yup, every fragment on the rim of society.

How typical for Dumbocrat politicians to avoid the hard questions and instead jump into the loving arms of the liberal news media instead. Fox News is the #1 cable news network, and a debate sponsored by Fox would have been the only chance we would have had to see the candidates face some real questioning.

If they can''t handle the heat, they don''t belong in the White House.

For those of you who missed that demo with the cucumber you have to find it on U TUBE that says everything you need to ever know about the joke Fox noise, it is a rag.

infidel-us,

I watch Foxnews every Sunday. I enjoy it because Juan Williams(the lone liberal) makes mincemeat of the 4 other conservatives every week. He does it so effortlessly, but then it isn''t that difficult.

I know you like Fox but come on, Brit Hume is about as fair and balnced as mudrose or forthepeople.

There''s bias for sure in the MSM(both left and right) but no regular on the MSM shows presents monologues fron the DNC like Brit Hume carries water for the RNC.

Fox News will be out of business as soon as Bush is out of the White House. Then they''ll have to become a radical liberal station. It''s all for the buck. Fox News is #1 in its own mind. Just read the posts here and you will see the maturity level of those who support it. Fox News is composed of a bunch of traitors who hate America and want to destroy it. Why would any candidate from either party want to participate in that. I mean, just read the posts from the people who watch Fox News. They are a good representation of what Fox News is all about, just farts farts and more farts. Who in their right mind would want to be seen on Fox News? Only someone who doesn''t care about her or his reputation. Fox News is a criminal organization. Richard Murdock should be arrested and charged fraud. Fox News is like Saturday Morning cartoons in a never ending nightmare. Fox News is run by a bunch of blood drinking vampires. Fox News is pure nuts.

I watch Brit Hume everyday. I actually look for bias in all of Fox''s work - except the Simpsons! :)

Hume has Maura Liason, Mort Kondrake, and one other guy whose name excapes me now. They have panel discussions on the big events of the day and ALL areas are represented - left, middle, right.

I honestly don'' see a problem. Hell, he even plays Bush jokes at the end of the program....I mean jokes at his expense.

Its well known that democrats can''t stand up to tough criticism. People say that republicans are secretive.. but fact of the matter is, ain''t nobody more secretive and elusive than a democrat. They''re scared to death of republicans, and republican outlets like Fox asking republican questions. They live in a fluffy fuzzy world of make believe and champaign..

People say: "Those dammmned republicans.. Censoring me." But fact of the matter is, once Hillary Clinton gits a hold''a George Bush''s whitehouse, she''s gonna be the creature from the black lagoon with all her two-face-isms. All her "it takes a mufffdiver" philosophies.. Intrusion and obfuscation to womanhood is the nightmare saint thomas aquanis was talking about when he said: "Fate worse than death is woman".. Cuz they don''t have a peckkkker, see.. They don''t even know what it is.
