(AP)  A U.S. immigration judge has ordered the deportation of a 91-year-old retired factory worker from Massachusetts because of his role in the Nazi destruction of the Warsaw Jewish ghetto in 1943, federal prosecutors said Thursday.

"Vladas Zajanckauskas was an accomplice in Nazi mass murder," said Eli Rosenbaum, director of the Justice Department's Office of Special Investigations. "Had he told the truth after the war, he never would have been permitted to enter this country."

Judge Wayne R. Iskra ordered that Zajanckauskas be removed to his native Lithuania because he was a member of a notorious Nazi-trained unit that aided in the brutal killings in the ghetto in Poland, said Alice S. Fisher, an assistant attorney general at the U.S. Department of Justice.

In his Aug. 2 decision, Iskra said Zajanckauskas and other members of his unit "were trained to assist in all aspects of Operation Reinhard, the Nazi plan to murder all Jews in Poland."

Zajanckauskas' lawyer, Thomas Butters, did not immediately return a call Thursday seeking comment.

The deportation order comes more than two years after a federal judge in Boston revoked Zajanckauskas' U.S. citizenship, ruling he lied about his activity during the war.

Zajanckauskas denied he was in Warsaw at the time and said his involvement with the Nazis was limited to working the bar at one of their camps in Poland.

But Justice Department prosecutors said he was recruited as a guard in a unit called the "Trawniki men" that was deployed by the SS to help the Nazis capture and kill Jews. The Nazis killed thousands and burned down the ghetto, street by street, after the Jews resisted attempts to deport them to death camps.

Iskra noted Zajanckauskas "admitted that Trawniki men sent to Warsaw stood in the cordon to prevent Jews from escaping, guarded the transit square where captured Jews awaited transportation to labor and concentration camps, conducted house-to-house searches for hidden Jews, skirmished with resistance fighters, and took part in the shooting of some captured Jews."

Members of his sub-unit committed "terrible crimes," including murder and rape, the judge said.

Zajanckauskas was a member of the Lithuanian army, then the Soviet army when that country annexed Lithuania in 1940. He became a German prisoner of war a year later before being recruited for German service in 1942.

He received ideological instructions with other members of the Trawniki unit and got benefits, including home leave, according to the 41-page court ruling.

Zajanckauskas emigrated from Austria in 1950 and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1956. Zajanckauskas said he never told immigration officials about his Trawniki service because he thought it would jeopardize his chances of getting into the United States.

He has a wife, daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who are all U.S. citizens. His ailing wife had indicated in court that she was not sure whether she would accompany her husband back to Lithuania, where they have no close relatives who could help them cope with life there and maintain treatment regimes for their numerous health problems, according to court documents.

The judge declined to let those factors become grounds for letting Zajanckauskas remain in the United States.

It looks like the Holocaust Industry has a collaborator in Eli Rosenbaum. This fanatic has nothing else better to do than persecute a 91-year-old man with health problems because of something he may be guilty of over 60 years ago.But ethno-fanatics like Rosenbaum won''t rest until everyone under mere suspicion of wrongdoing is hounded like a wild animal.
Rosenbaum reeks!

I don''''t belive in the right to bear arms. I am from New England and the foster homes I was raised in had on guns as they were not allowed.

Well, thank whomever, that you don''t get to decide that for the rest of the country.

So our British and Canadian folks have it right. Nope, that they don''t.

I am a white person who kin came else where, just cos I am born here in US of A of parents born here, does that make me American, yes and no. I belive white men robbed the natives of their lands and that it should be given back to them. But white men be so greedy.

The saying goes "Never forget. Never again." "Never forgive." was never a part of that saying. Don''t pass around misinformation. It just makes things worse. And this in the Information Age. Pathetic.

Who benefits from this? The man is 91-years-old. Leave him alone. What''s to be gained?

Well j-whitman, I guess I have no choice but to believe you, since you actually spelled "Birkenau" correctly today. That''s a big improvement since yesterday.

But how many times do I have to tell you. Hitler wanted a 1000 year Reich, not 30. How can I trust all your other facts when you can''t even keep that straight?

1000, 30. The 1000 year Reich sounds so much better than the 30 year Reich.

Are you sure the "Rove/Bush 100 year control " is really 100? It might be 3.

Oh, you have me so confused now.

I posted this article yesterday & the correction on it today,,, Already, there is attacks on that site disputing the article ---- Tell me the Bush FBI & CIA aren''''t spying on what we say.

Karl Rove whos is the grandson of Karl Heinz Roverer, the Gauleiter of Oldenburg. Roverer was Reich-Stat halter or Nazi State Party chairman for the region of Germany. Heir Roverer was also the senior engineer in the Roverer Sud-Deutche Ingenieurburo A. G. Engineering -- the firm built the Birkenau death camp.

The counter is his father is his step-father & Norwegian American & left the family on Karl''''s 19th B-day, and his mother comitted suicide at age 30... So thier was no genetic connection.. Who you gonna believe ??
