This month's issue of Health magazine tells how to spot the signs, and how you can try to hide or offset them.
Health's "age detective," Dr. Jan Garavaglia, a forensic pathologist who's in the business of spotting clues that help identify bodies, CSI-style), explains which subtle signs may reveal a woman's age, beyond the usual suspects such as crow's-feet and laugh lines. It turns out there are lots of head-to-toe indicators of whether a woman is 30-something, or more likely closing in on 50.
Health's executive editor, Lisa Delaney, visited The Early Show Friday to let viewers in on the answers.
A model, Diane, stood by as Delaney and co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez, and audience members tried to guess her age.
Delaney showed visual clues to help them guess how old Diane is. She also shared some simple fixes that could shave off 10 years!

- Although I find mswolfestock''s comments to be from the heart and I wish her well, I feel differently. I do the best I can with diet and exercise, but I am realistic in my own feelings towards myself. As a parent of four, I have neither the time or the money to get veneers or any other type of enhancements. Although I am aging naturally, I don''t feel that I''m not investing in my appearance. I am happy and confident and don''t feel the need to get anything done to change things. I guess whatever works for each individual is what is best.

- You can try to delay it, but you WILL age. If aging makes you unhappy, then you will be unhappy.

- This is for women over 40 or 50. I had veneers put on my teeth - I did the six teeth on top in front. I was not getting adequate results with whitening treatments and my dental hygenist recommended the veneers. They are pretty expensive but they were worth it to me. (I am lucky enough to live in a city with a University-supported accredited School of Dentistry where I get all of my dental work done at a big discount.) People said, "You look great! What did you do?" I would tell any woman to do whatever it takes to increase their level of confidence: you really feel better when you know that you look your best. Think of the money you spend on your looks as an INVESTMENT, just like your retirement account or your home. I''ve never had a moment''s regret about investing in my appearance. If your money is tight, save it. Or fix your older car instead of buying a new one, then spend the difference on yourself. When you know you look great, everything else is great, too.
