Danny's site is full of home improvement ideas for do-it-youselfers.
Putting up a fence is, though.
What's more, the classic Robert Frost poem, "Mending Wall" says, "Good fences make good neighbors."
And a fence may be your best bet if you want privacy, security and added value for your home. It can also be an eye-catcher!
On The Early Show Wednesday, Danny Lipford, the show's resident handyman and home improvement expert, and host of "Today's Homeowner," offered a fencing primer on selecting and erecting wood, vinyl and composite fences, and on rules of thumb whenever you put up any type of fence.

I wanted to comment on your recent piece on fences. On the install factor you didn't address reason for having it install by a fence company other than the expense of it. But let me ask you do you feel your family time or back and body justify the expense? yes or no and that would address wether it expensive or not. Also there are other ways like actual fence companies vs the big box companies to get your fence from. Many of these are "family owned" companies. Had wished you showed the many side of a fence than just the one you did
Doing your share with you neighbor pays pretty good rewards most of the time.
