(CBS)  The audience laughed when Rob Schneider spoofed Lindsay Lohan on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on Tuesday night, but there were no laughs in the Lohan household.

In a statement released to "Access Hollywood," Lohan's mother, Dina said, "We have a great respect for Jay Leno, but we are disappointed in the path he chose to allow a guest to make light of a very serious situation concerning Lindsay. Thank you to Craig Ferguson for not making a mockery of such a serious situation to which teens and young adults are facing across the country. – Dina and Family"

On Tuesday, Schneider walked onto Leno's stage dressed as Lohan, with a black dress, blonde wig and a faux alcohol monitoring bracelet.

When Leno asked the comedian what was on his ankle, Schneider pulled off the bracelet and drank from it as of it were a flask. "Let's see what we got here, baby," he said.

When Leno asked what his favorite film was up until this point in his career, Schneider responded, "I kinda like 'Herbie Fully Loaded,'" to which the audience laughed. "Herbie was the car, I was fully loaded," Schneider said.

Timeline: The Life Of Lindsay Lohan

Back in February, when Britney Spears shaved her head, Ferguson, host of the "Late Late Show," said he wouldn't crack jokes at the expense of the embattled pop star.

A rep for "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" said the show was not commenting.

Dina Lohan is just as bad as Poor Pathetic Little Lindsay. I mean, when you go to parties with your under age child, like you have been doing for the last 4-5 YEARS, and sit there and WATCH them drink and smoke and be groped by men and dance half naked on the table and do Heaven only knows what else when Mom is off freshening up in the ladies room - what kind of mother is that? Dina is feeding off of her daughter's fame and money, because she is a no talent, no class, no taste person who needs to feel better about herself. If you had been a better Mom when this girl was growing up, you wouldn't be seeing her spoofed on national tv now. Sorry, Dina, but you helped create the monster - live with it, honey!

I was facinated by here early on, as every time I saw a photo, she never looked the same. Always looked good, but most of the time I had to read the caption.

Yeah, it is so very sad to see someone as talented as Lindsey going down the tubes. She was incredible in The Parent Trap, too. Jeez, to have so much and be so addicted to substance; ouch, heavy duty karma. Hopefully, she can really clean it up and save her career (and life).

The price of admission of being a public figure is that when you screw up royally you will be cannon fodder for late night talks how hosts. If you drink, drive and get in an accident then being the but of late night comedy should not be a big concern.

She needs to focus on being sober or suffer the fate of a very long jail sentance should she kill someone. It that happens being a great actress will not(and should not) save here from fifteen years in jail.

This family seems to have no boundaries between public and private . . . I sort of don't even want to keep track of this story unlike the Paris Hilton one. The Hiltons are nitwits but at least Paris has managed to stay out of trouble since she's been out of jail. The Lohans are like a super-dysfunctional family with no seeming end in sight. Maybe they need Dr. Phil or something . . . that'd be a better special than the Paula looking for love special or the guy from The Insider who made the icky calls while he was high.

I'll never forget the first time I saw Lindsay Lohan. I was browsing through the internet when I saw a computer animated figure drawn in a small square right above an article. My first thought was, "Goodness, I see the computer guys have designed the perfect female face. They sure did a great job."
I then realized I was not looking at a computer animation but at a real person and I just couldn't get my eyes off her.
Weeks later I rented Mean Girls and I saw a great talent in the leading role. Lindsay played her part like a true pro, and I say this as a graduate of film school.
But now I'm left wondering, "What the hell happened here?" I mean, I understand the need to enjoy life while you're young but what Ms. Lohan has done is downright shameful.
What makes it so bad is her being in denial. It shows a rebellious side of her bordering on the criminal.
And for her mother to be upset at a comedy show after all Lindsay has done to herself is simply irresponsible. She's not aiding her daughter in anyway by doing so.
To see Lindsay go down this way is like watching the death of a young life that never had a chance to live. A life that had so much potential and is now all gone.
Even so, I hope she comes back strong and healthy so she can use her acting talents to the fullest.

I'm upset cause
Lindsey is dying cause
She is the poor girl
The one with talent
While Paris is burning
But she is the rich one
Without any talent
So she's not dying
Wish it were Paris
that was going under
and all of her rich family
every last lying stealing one
every last one
not the poor girl
the one with talent

"Old Leno is turning into a low-brow comedian. Like to kick when they're down. Posted by j_flood"

He and Letterman have picked on everyone, even non-celebrities, when they do something stupid.

Dina Lohan... you should be ashamed of yourself. You're a bad, bad mother and have rode the coatails of your daughter, who is excessively and embarrassingly out of control. Get her the help she needs NOW before she becomes a washed up, has-been.
