Dina Lohan Upset About Spoof On "Tonight"
(CBS)
The audience laughed when Rob Schneider spoofed Lindsay Lohan on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on Tuesday night, but there were no laughs in the Lohan household.
In a statement released to "Access Hollywood," Lohan's mother, Dina said, "We have a great respect for Jay Leno, but we are disappointed in the path he chose to allow a guest to make light of a very serious situation concerning Lindsay. Thank you to Craig Ferguson for not making a mockery of such a serious situation to which teens and young adults are facing across the country. – Dina and Family"
On Tuesday, Schneider walked onto Leno's stage dressed as Lohan, with a black dress, blonde wig and a faux alcohol monitoring bracelet.
When Leno asked what his favorite film was up until this point in his career, Schneider responded, "I kinda like 'Herbie Fully Loaded,'" to which the audience laughed. "Herbie was the car, I was fully loaded," Schneider said.
A rep for "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" said the show was not commenting.
