Guns In America
State-by-state gun laws and death rates, maps of recent school and workplace shootings and facts on who's at risk.
All of the victims were believed to be related, Atlanta police spokesman Eric Schwartz said.
The gunman was identified by police as Abdulaziz Ibrahim, 52. Officers also found the bodies of Hana Yusuf, 26, and Luna Tesfaye, 24, Schwartz said. Another victim, Mohammad Ibrahim, 28, died at a local hospital while Amir Abdulhakim, 3, was in critical condition and Yusef Ibrahim, 27, was in stable condition, police said.
Police were interviewing a teenage girl who was also in the house during the shooting but was unharmed, and the alleged gunman's wife, who had left home shortly before the shooting.
The shooting began around 7 a.m., Schwartz said.
Neighbor Charlene Weiters said the family moved into the home about 12 years ago from overseas, and still spoke broken English. She said Abdulaziz Ibrahim was a retired manufacturing worker who occasionally gave the neighborhood children small toys and school supplies.
Weiters said she often saw him playing with his grandson in the yard. She said she believed Ibrahim lived in the home with his wife, plus three children, two nieces and two grandchildren.
"We think he was sick, he must have been," she told CBS affiliate WGCL-TV between sobs. "He was so sweet, he was so sweet he wouldn't hurt anybody."

In the current climate, people have the right, even the responsibility, to be suspicious.
People crying "ignorance" need to look in the mirror first. People crying "prejudice" should look in the mirror first.
The article is what it is. If it evokes emotion in others different than that which one might like or want then one must accept that. Look at the cause, don't concentrate on the effect.

my votes will likely bestow more and more resources upon the get wells holding my hand as opposed to the get sicks playing all the war games at pearl harbor

Where did that come from? How did I earn this verbal chastising? Have I misspelled a word that drew such repetitive denunciation. The only thing I said was "I do not have enough information to make a meaningful comment", and I still do not (don't). 'Then' if you need to belittle me rather 'than' inform me of a mistake, so be it!
As my mom always told me "If you don't have anything intelligent to say than keep it to yourself!!"

ToolMangler, Chopdoc is the one in error...obviously needs to be more careful before pointing fingers. Typical...
No matter the reasons, this is a horrible situation and I'm sure there is more to this story. It seems as though this type story is becoming more commonplace...
ToolMangler, you didn't do anything wrong. Obviously Chopdoc cannot read or comprehend, and does not know how to post or use a computer. Shall I repeat that for you doc?

neenga,
You can skip the comments section. Just read the article and keep on going. As a matter of fact you are taking up time and space that could be better relegated to others who enjoy this site. Just go away.
