(CBS)  In Iraq today, a series of devastating attacks hit the northern city of Kirkuk. A suicide truck bombing and two other car bombs killed at least 80 people and wounded more than 180 others. The carnage from the worst of the bombs was horrendous, even by Iraqi standards. Passengers trapped inside a bus burned to death.

More than 4,000 Iraqi civilians have died in suicide attacks in the past six months, and Saudi Arabia bears much of the blame, according to Iraqi National Security Adviser Mowaffak al-Rubaie, CBS News correspondent Allen Pizzey reports.

"We believe most of the foreign terrorists who are blowing themselves up in this country, killing Iraqi citizens, are coming from Saudi Arabia," al-Rubaie said.

The Iraqis and the U.S. military here claim 60 to 80 terrorist recruits a month enter Iraq, half of them from Saudi Arabia. They travel to the Syrian capital of Damascus, then cross the long and porous border into Iraq.

Al-Rubaie said he asked the Saudi government to crack down harder on would-be jihadists and to restrict movement of funds to Sunni extremist factions — especially those linked with al Qaeda.

"We would love our American allies to put more pressure, and more convincing on the Saudi government," al-Rubaie said.

One of Iraq's most hard-line Sunni leaders, Hareth al-Dhary, visited the kingdom last month. Al-Rubaie claimed he was publicly praised by King Abdullah as a mujahadeen, or holy warrior.

The Saudi connection puts Washington in an awkward spot because the kingdom is a favored ally in the region.

Washington has known about the problem for years, a regional analyst said. That there has been no action is an indication of the limited influence the United States has over the Saudis.

The fact that both Iraqi and U.S. military officials are now pointing fingers may be a sign that carnage has overcome diplomatic niceties.

It's also worth remembering that our Saudi "friends" stated a few years ago that $40 a barrel was a very fair price for oil and that they would do everything they could to keep world market prices @ that level.... Our "good" friends are now pocketing $70 a barrel... very happily it seems, even if it means that Iran and the Shiites are made ever more powerful by that price... Who needs enemies such as Iran when we have friends like the Saudis?

Perfect example why Bush's continued rallying to maintain his groundless war strategy needs to be shut down.
Bush wants us to believe terrorism can be controlled by keeping a huge American presence in Iraq. This article proves terrorism does not originate in Iraq - it simply migrates there due to the enormous presence of our military.
The American military can not lose, that's a fact. But the strategy is utterly flawed, so they cannot Win "the war on terror" since it's impossible to control terrorism headquartered elsewhere while patrolling/monitoring Iraq.
Geez, I know you're sick of hearing it, but did anyone say Bin laden?

Saudi Arabia - beheading in the 21st century.
Saudi Arabia uses public beheading as the punishment for murder, rape, drug trafficking, sodomy, armed robbery, apostasy and certain other offences. Forty five men and 2 women were beheaded in 2002, a further 52 men and 1 woman in 2003 and 35 men and a woman in 2004. Executions rose in 2005 with 88 men and 2 women being beheaded and then reduced to 35 men and four women in 2006.

The condemned of both sexes are given tranquillisers and then taken by police van to a public square or a car park after midday prayers. Their eyes are covered and they are blindfolded. The police clear the square of traffic and a sheet of blue plastic sheet about 16 feet square is laid out on the ground.
Dressed in their own clothes, barefoot, with shackled feet and hands cuffed behind their back, the prisoner is led by a police officer to the centre of the sheet where they are made to kneel facing Mecca. An Interior Ministry official reads out the prisoner's name and crime to the crowd.

The presence of so many Saudis in the list of 9/11 hijackers was my first clue, the passport that survived fire hot enough to melt steel, not even singed, was another. The video of the pentagon crash that shows no plane wreckage was another, the Bin Laden family being allowed to fly out of the country when all other planes, including Bush Sr.'s was grounded, yet another.

There is so much circumstantial evidence pointing to 9/11 being an "inside job", I am reminded of the phrase "if it looks like a duck, has webbed feet and waddles, and goes quack, it is probably a duck..."

Don't bet, you would lose. The royal family is probably the richest family in the world, 12% of the money currently in the US alone is controlled by them, and they work with Bush and other oil people to control the price of oil. They are OPEC's decision maker, and the "terrorists" work for them as well as Bush by helping to keep the price of oil high. This is the main reason Bush doesn't touch them, if they alone decide to take Euros rather than "greenbacks" in payment for their oil, the US dollar becomes worthless.

As for the 2 megabucks they gave to Indonesia, there is a valid reason you might not be aware of, Indonesia is one of the most corrupt governments in the world, (a shame, since the place is so beautiful, and the people so warm and friendly, even to non Muslims) and the Saud family knows that the money will instantly go to the pockets of corrupt government officials.

Other countries sent food, which was hoarded and sold in places like Jakarta, a thousand miles from the victims of the Tsunami by greedy middlemen.

It would be safe to say that between 5 to 15% of the assistance sent to Indonesia actually got to the victims.

There is much information you can never know if you only get info from US controlled media.

they both use military "Macht" power as a means for political, territorial, and economic dominance.

"We Christians" have not evolved with present era while Muslims are stuck in the past, still reacting to the violent crusades christian nations declared upon the arabic world. The fact of christian evolution is merely a mental and social construct boasted of by our dearest GW Bush, himself a crusader. Our fear and hatred of the Muslim world will lead to understanding and awareness, only an ignorance of it. Nor will arrogance of our own religiosity and convictions in Christianity- and the denial of its crusader spirit still present today- lead to a greater awareness that these two world religions {and their believers} continue to play upon each other.

Islam is nothing but a violent death cult and brain-disease, based on ancient myths and superstitions. The world needs to be rid of all religions, especially the "abrahamic" (islam/judaism/christianity) which are based in Astrology/the Zodiac, that people completely misinterpreted.

The West must realize we have no real friends in the Islamic world. We can defeat Islam but we need to unite and make this the primary goal of this century. We must expand our militaries and scuttle the UN which has become a tool for the leftists/muslims to stifle action. Muslims will not stop trying to Islamify the world until we destroy them.

What is a matter of public record:

The 9-11 terrorists were predominantly Saudi-Arabian.

George Bush has close ties with Saudi Arabians who have great resources at their disposal.

George W. Bush has proven over his tenure as President of the U.S., that he has access to and the will to spend enormously vast amounts of tax-payer dollars well into the the future to achieve his goals and desires, whatever they may be, money and human lives are absolutely no object.

Someone or some people who had access to government controlled strains of anthrax, planned the time and effort to launch this attack on the American public to coincide shortly after the 9-11 attack. The FBI has NEVER found this person or these individuals. Strangely, this very effective form of terror and this person or people remain very much at large and yet have not attacked again. One could be easily led to believe that a goal of this attack was to have it coincide with the 9-11 attack.

The veracity of an extraordinary list of confessions and charges apparently made without duress, persuasion etc. through al-Qaeda's second in command in front of a secret military tribunal.

There is no such thing as a Muslim raping a Jewish woman; there is no such thing as a Muslim murdering a Jew (at most, it can be manslaughter). In contrast, a Jew who strikes a Muslim is killed.

Humiliation and vulnerability. Jews and Christians had to walk around with badges or veils identifying them as Jews or Christians. Claiming we are fighting Al Qaeda, and saber rattling about Iran -- it turns our the Saudis are the foreign insurgents. Just like they were the dominant 911 attackers. Just like Osama.

But the US never says anything critical about the brutal dictators we like. Saddam in the 1980s, the Shah if Iran (who we installed after the CIA led overthrow of popular Mossadeq), like countless other brutal dictators we install or support for the benefit of the corporations who own our politicians.
