Paris Hilton's Jail Time Investigated

(AP)  The Sheriff's Department opened an investigation Thursday into allegations that Paris Hilton received special treatment during her 23 days in jail for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case, authorities said.

The internal probe will examine whether the hotel heiress was given free access to a cordless phone instead of being forced to wait in line to use a pay phone at certain hours, sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said.

Also under scrutiny are claims Hilton received a new jail uniform instead of the recycled ones given to many inmates and that her mail was delivered by a captain instead of inmate trusties, Whitmore said.

The allegations were brought to the attention of the department's union, the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs, by its members, the Los Angeles Times reported Thursday on its Web site.

Whitmore said the claims differ from the department's own information about Hilton's incarceration.

"We're going to investigate it and get to the bottom of it and find out exactly what happened," he said.

A message left with a Hilton spokesman late Thursday was not immediately returned.

The department was also accused of granting Hilton special treatment when Sheriff Lee Baca released the 26-year-old from jail after only three days for medical reasons. She was sent back to jail after one night.

Only in America would young women emulate a pathetic case such as Paris Hilton.
She has no talent, except for her flair in making *** films.
And she's not even pretty, 'cause she weighs ninety five pounds soaking wet.
So either she doesn't eat, or she vomits what she does.
HOW APPEALING...
SO APPEALING SHE MAKES ME PUKE TOO.

"I don't particularly care for her myself, but c'mon, she doesn't hurt anybody else. She's a joke for pete's sake. If she ever does hurt someone with her stupidity, then let the vultures have at her" says ajaxrose1. What if she had an accident while driving drunk like she was, and hurt or killed someone. Then would she "deserve" punishment?
The whole point behind this was the reckless disregard for the law and for other people's safety. He**, for all I care, she could go and wrap herself around a tree - just don't take a chance on taking someone else with her, for God's sake. She went to jail because she drove drunk and then ignored the law that said she wasn't supposed to be behind the wheel, not just once but at least twice. She has the attitude that just because she has money and (semi) fame, the laws of the land don't apply to her and she can have her "people" take the blame for not "reading" the forms to her that she signed and threw in the glove compartment of the car. Did her expensive private school education not teach her how to read on her own (without her lips moving at least)? Personally, I was highly offended when I heard they cut her jail time in half for "good behavior" which included showing up for her court hearing (although she WAS late for that, too) Justice doesn't often get served out in La-La Land, at least in this case it did't...

I wonder if Paris let that information slip out.
If she did she better hope she doesn't have to go back for any reason.

Can we blog about Senator Vitter and his calls from a Madam during voting time here instead? Seems to be there can be no better place really seeing as CBS is not giving us the chance to air our views on that piece of, dare I say it,"scintillating" news at the bottom of the article like most news published...hmmm...wonder why...anyways Vitter and Hilton are two pieces of pond scum indeed.

Everybody in the world knows she got special treatment and she has even bragged about it. But heres the real question Why? Why did she get special treatment? She has done nothing to deserve what she got hell she continues to get free publicity I am sick to death of this grown woman crying and talking trash but because she is a Hilton we will continue to have hear and see her ugly face. And on top of it grin about it but sooner or later her luck is gonna run out and I wonder will she still get the publicity that she loves to have. She is still pathetic and where is all the improvements she wailed to Barbara Walters about?

Just another angle on this: maybe they wanted to make sure other inmates didn't treat her differently because of who she is. She's not much more than useless as people go, but nobody would deserve to be put in the ground over what she was in jail for. If the posts on this site are any indication, any one of you might have been happy to see something like that happen just because she's rich. How do you think the other inmates felt about her in that case? I don't particularly care for her myself, but c'mon, she doesn't hurt anybody else. She's a joke for pete's sake. If she ever does hurt someone with her stupidity, then let the vultures have at her, but until then, this just sounds a little like petty jealousy because of her social status in life. No, life's not fair. When has it ever been any different?

Maybe, just maybe if we indict the sheriff and every other "law and order" types (jail guards included) on "suspicion" of responsibility for the outrageous treatment given Paris Hilton, the behavior of these hired guns (cops) would stop. Just follow the money (like the FBI says) you'd get to the truth (not like we don't already know it) of exactly what went on. Use the same methods we use to track high priority felons to see who got richer on this. Sooner or later "we the people) will get pisxed enough to stop this garbage and everybody will get to play on the same field--if not, Heaven help us. Seems to me like "law enforcement" is the biggest organized crime gang in our country.

Would it be any big surprise to find out Paris was treated differently??? Of course she was treated differently. I've worked with mental health, drug & alcohol clients who have spent months &/or years in jail for various petty crimes. (Not saying they shouldn't have been in jail, but some of their offenses were equal to or less than the offenses committed by Paris.) They were not celebrities with the big bucks. They had to live in fear in dark, damp cells, and eat crappy food. Many told me about medication laced "Kool-Aid" they were given to drink. Ah, Paris, how much Kool-Aid did you get? Or did you get champagne in crystal stemware? Did you eat bologna sandwiches, or did someone sneak in some lobster and steaks?

Please....give us all a break!!!
