Aguilera Reportedly Expecting First Child

Singer's Dad Tells Magazine He's Excited About Impending Birth

(CBS)  Singer Christina Aguilera is expecting her first child, E! News reports on its Web site.

Aguilera's father reportedly told Life and Style magazine that he's excited about the impending birth.

A rep for Aguilera told The ShowBuzz "we are not confirming."

A source told the New York Post last month that the singer had been telling friends the news.

The 26-year-old Grammy-winning singer married music executive Jordan Bratman in 2005. They got engaged in February of that year.

Earlier this year, Aguilera herself explained to Ellen DeGeneres how she and her husband keep their relationship lively. "You have to keep marriage alive, spice it up," she said. "We do everything naked (on Sundays). We cook naked."

The singer, who is on tour with her album "Back To Basics," is due to perform in the Philippines on Friday.

This is a young lady with a lot of talent and style, (unlike those cheap, tarty little tramps that have been in the news so much lately). Aside from those awful outfits she used to wear (chaps and most of her breasts showing were a little over the top, but she was young and foolish) Christina is a lovely lady with a gift to share with the world. May she and her husband and new baby be happy and blessed.

I whole heartedly agree Jolsonbear and cricketmk3 I would much rather my daughters use her as a role model as far as the pregnancey issues go than ANY of the others mentioned.. and I would have to add a few more to that list too!

Jolsonbear, You're so right. Except for a few revealing outfits, Aguilera has been a much better example to young people than the other four you mentioned. She actually got married BEFORE she got pregnant!

She has dignity and class. It is unfortunate that Christina Aguilera doesn't get the kind of media attention that goes to trash like Hilton, Spears, Richie and Lohan.
