"I love it," she said in a video clip on her blog. "Frankly, having to talk to real people would be better than having to talk to celebrities. It would be good for me, but I don't know if it's right for (the show)."
If she does end up doing network television again, O'Donnell joked that she wouldn't lock herself into a long-term contract.
"I don't know what I'm going to do next, but I'll try whatever I do to stay my whole contract," she said. "I think shorter contracts are better for me. I need more downtime."
In the meantime, O'Donnell has been performing on Cyndi Lauper's True Colors tour. The tour will take her to Houston, Dallas, San Francisco and Los Angeles.Photos: Everything Rosie
O'Donnell has been criticized for a joke she made during a concert in Washington to the mostly gay audience about her stint "The View."
"We were in Merriweather Post Pavilion in DC. I said, 'Oh it's so nice to be back with my gays. I've been with the straights for about six months. Oh, it's tough. They'll stab you in the back with a high heel.' It was funny; believe me I got a big laugh," she said.
However, O'Donnell had nothing but praise for her former "The View" co-host and fellow stand-up comedienne, Joy Behar.
"She is fantastic, and there is great chemistry between us," she said.

- If Rosie really prefers "real people" to celebs, then why is it that she hasn't posted 2 of my very supportive comments on her blog?
I have tried to looked for them and haven't found them, and there isn't anywhere where she's warning that she cannot respond to all questions.
So forgive me if I feel a bit skeptical of such a headline at this point. - Reply to this comment
- Rosie O'Donnell would be the perfect 'role model' host of The Price Is Right if you're wanting to inspire young girls to become fat, liberal, lesbian blasphemers. She has put herself on her own pedestal so she can worship herself and in the process sicken the rest of us straight, normal, rational human beings with her rants, raves and general obnoxiousness. I have been a lifelong fan of the show, but when you consider associating the legendary all-American icon with a mouthy militant *** twit, there ends the entertainment aspect of the longtime daytime delight and likewise my affinity for the treasure-to-trash television travesty. I'm sure she'd have her own bevy of lithe lezzies to '****'genize the aberrant abomination. Even the thought of Rosie on PRICE is a sad legacy that threatens to doom any possible future for the show.

- I have watched Bob Barker since the Truth or Consequences days and all thru the Price is Right. When I was at work I taped the show to watch it when I return from work. Saying that, I will completely stop watching the show if Rosie is Mr. Barker's replacement. I urge CBS to drop her from consideration. Rosie obviously does not know or care to work as a team player. Even Bob Barker couldn't do the show by himself. A lot of the programs I watch are on CBS and maybe I need to rethink my preferences.

- I love the Price is Right so much that I use to tape it during the day when I was working and watched it in the evening after getting home from work, my family and I have said that we would stop watching it if someone like Rosie O'Donnell replaced Bob Barker. Her personality is not for the job nor is she a peoples person like Bob is.

- Rosie is a vile, rude, and disgusting person. Putting her into the role as host of The Price is Right would be a travesty. It has always been a wholesome, family oriented game show. Rosie has no business in it. Better to let TPR die a natural death than to see it choke to death.

- Rosie has used her "persona" in the beginning to eventually show how she is all but the Anti-
Chirst for this country. Her views are so left winged that she feels that my family members that are in Iraq right now are losers! We are, and always will be, an Americacn military supportive family, back to World War 1, if it were'nt for these people like my family and many other dedicated Americans, where would we be?
Who cares what she donates and gives. What matters is the American that she shows that she is......ANTI AMERCAN! - Reply to this comment
- Rosie will be good at whatever she chooses to do.
The reason why some people hate Rosie is because she "speaks the truth". Those in denial hate hearing the truth. And you can tell the ones that are in MAJOR denial, cause those are the ones that are vicious in their verbal attacks.

Errrr, newsflash, Rosie does not speak the truth, she pushes her opinion and she's an obnoxious bully when she does it. I agree with some of her views...but I don't ram them down people's throats as being FACTS. If vicious verbal attacks are the benchmark for someone in denial, then surely Rosie must be the posterchild for denial. - Reply to this comment
- Like other viewers that have had to witness Rosie's anti-american slant and tirades I will never watch ANY show she is affiliated with. When it was annouced she would be on "THE VIEW"
I was shocked. Never watched it afterwards. Glad to see she showed her true colors and was forced to leave. She is a waist of oxegen. - Reply to this comment
- "She's funny, she's acerbic, yet she is respectful of all people."
"Ching chong ching" was respectful of who exactly?
Rosie is a person who likes to play the victim while having not one hesitation about victimising others. If they want to kill "Price is Right" Rosie's the way to go. - Reply to this comment

Well....I guess we can give you some credit, your post is somewhat cleaner than it usually is.
Still lacking in intelligence, but cleaner. - Reply to this comment
- Jeez, I do not get you Rosie haters?
She's funny, she's acerbic, yet she is respectful of all people.
Is is because she's gay and female that so many of you are repulsed?
Anyway, I don't get the vitriol. Fortunately, she's learned to ignore the hatred. Go Rosie!

- I urge CBS to drop any consideration of Rosie O'Donnel as emcee replacement for Bob Barker. I also lost all my respect for Mr. Barker for his endorsement of Rosie as his replacement.

Ms. O'Donnell is far, far, far from respectful of all people. She is respectful towards those who agree with her viewpoints but I have never seen a major mainstream public personality who regularly spouts such venom at those who do not share her views. The Rush Limbaughs and so on are on the fringes and you expect it in a sense from the extremes, they also don't claim to be anything else. Rosie O'Donnell paints the picture of a kind hearted, caring, openminded person when in truth she can be as venomous, cruel and derogatory as any of those who she herself criticizes. - Reply to this comment

- Rosie will never be happy no matter where she goes! She will always blame her unhappiness on other people! She is just a miserable person!

- same here, we'd rather see "normal people" than this nut-job pseudo-celeb. if cbs hires her they need to rename the show "the price is way way way way way left"... oh wait, actually... "the price is todays left" is accurate.

- THe shock value of Rosie's obnoxious and out of line behavior has worn thin - very thin. Her need to call soldiers dying for her freedom to be gay 'baby killers' is even above and beyond her need to draw attention to herself. Most of us are still getting over the baby killers who killed so many in the WTC.
I think Rosie knows she's gone over the line, and is not too happy about the flood of offers that are NOT coming her way. She'll probably may a living in the standup circuit, as this is what she's good at. If she leaves out the political stuff and goes back to being funny, I'm sure she'll raise those adopted children in the style she'd like to, just like many people who have kids the normal way, because they don't have so much money.
It had looked like Ellen was going to stop her career by being a militant, but then she shut up and just showed her talent. She was genuine proof that real talent will shine through even after controversy, but Rosie doesn't have the talent or the patience to weather the bad feelings she has created. - Reply to this comment
