Paris Hilton To Get Primped For Jail

By
Amy Bonawitz
(CBS)  Paris Hilton has a grand entry planned for Tuesday when she reports to jail, insiders tell the New York Daily News. The newspaper reports that the heiress wants the media to see her looking her best.

"The timing is to make sure she makes all the celebrity weeklies," an insider tells the newspaper. "Paris is a genius at marketing herself. She managed to turn having a sex tape to her benefit, and she's going to do the same out of going to prison."

Sources say Hilton has ordered a glam squad (hair and make-up) to meet her at her Hollywood Hills home at 9 a.m. Monday, the day before she reports to jail.

But all this fuss is part of a grander plan apparently, sources say. "It's not just about marketing, it's about making money. If she can set up her entry into jail in a very grand way, the payoff will be greater."

The newspaper reports that Hilton will write a prison diary during her 23-day sentence, for publication upon release.

"Paris' prison diary will make a more dramatic read than Martha Stewart's," says a source close to Hilton. "If she can make it believable, and not exaggerate too much, she might expect to make a million dollars out of it."

The source says Hilton will most certainly be glam as she walks into jail.

"Paris is the queen of the prop," the source says. "Expect her hair pulled back in a ponytail, big sunglasses and maybe a Holy Bible under one arm. And she just got a new kitten, so maybe she'll hand that to her sister (Nicky) as she gets out of the car … There might even be tears."

Does anyone even REMEMBER what she is going to JAIL (NOT prison, you media idiots!!) for? She could have injured or killed someone driving intoxicated, then laughed in the legal system's face not once, but twice - all because she has this sense of "entitlement" due to being rich, thin and marginally attractive. No talent, no class and certainly no brains, morals or sense.

Since she will be in segregation, all the horrible things some of you other posters are dreaming up for her will NOT happen - remember, she will be in her cell alone for 23 hours out of the day, and the remaining hour, you can bet she will be surrounded by jailers/guards to protect her precious, expensive little butt. Granted, the food won't be what she's used to, and she won't be sleeping on Porthault sheets, and will probably have to do her own cleaning/laundry and bathe/dress/groom herself instead of having servants to help her, but on the whole, nothing too bad will happen to her - makes you kinda anxious to see The Diary after it's all over, to see if she is any good at fiction.....

What gets me the most is the reduction in sentence due to "good behavior" when she hasn't even set foot in the jail yet to "behave" They counted her showing up for court (even though she was in contempt when she was late for the hearing) to shave 21 days off the 45 the judge gave her - oh, to be "famous" when I break the law, so I could get a free pass...the judge certainly knows which side HIS bread is buttered on.

I gather this *** has a TV show or something? I mean I know who she is, she's the Hilton heiress, but why does anyone give a ripe *** what she does? Anyway, she's going to jail, not prison, and it would be nice if journalists knew the difference. Or knew anything, for that matter. There's always some hope jail will traumatize her a bit more than she expects; the food probably isn't great, though she can probably still get dope, and might be a crackwhore or two in there that can show her the downside of sleazy.

brian;

It's because she payed bail. It doesn't mean that there's this big scandal where the bad rich people are getting it better than the poor plebians.

Why is it that any non-rich person convicted of an offense warranting incarceration is immediately taken to the joint? How did this girl get to delay the execution of sentence for so long? The same courtesy should by precedent, be extended to all who commit similar offenses.

And what's up with the red and pinkish motif of this page? Rather diminishes any pretense to seriousness, so I guess it is apropos, but still, yuk...

so much for being about a dui or driving with out a license. She is making this a big joke instead of taking it serious. She will be right back at it again when she gets out.No lesson learned here. And the media isn't helping matters. If they backed off maybe it wouldn't be such a big joke for her.

Well now I can exhale. Just the thought that she might not look red-carpet ready for jail had my bowels in an uproar. Give me a break.

Gross...I hope they throw her in the hole (!) as soon as she arrives at the jail, and leave her there so she can write her *** diary in the pitch black darkness.
Then, late some night the big, ole, Head Warden comes in and cleans her clock...maybe with permanent scars she'll have to spend all her millions on repairing...and then...oh, what the hell, I'm just jealous!!!
