Rosie Shoe Shops On First Day Off

In New Video On Web Site, O'Donnell Shops On Zappos.com With Her Daughter Vivienne

(CBS)  Rosie O'Donnell spent part of her first day away from "The View" shoe shopping on the Web site Zappos.com with her daughter Vivienne Rose.

In a new video posted on her Web site titled "First Day Off," O'Donnell sits with her daughter in her lap and navigates through the shoe Web site and comments on shoes.

"We're only getting one (pair), missy," O'Donnell says to the 4-year-old.

When Vivienne observes that there are so many different shoes to choose from, O'Donnell says, "that's the problem with Zappos, there's lots of choices."

Vivienne chooses a pair of Vans sneakers with stars. "They're rated very high, a lot of people love these shoes, five stars, we're getting 'em," O'Donnell says, before giving Vivienne a high five.

During her time at "The View" O'Donnell told a story about a shoe shopping excursion with Vivienne in which the toddler selected a pair of shoes that were too small because O'Donnell was in rush to leave a shoe store.

O'Donnell and her partner, Kelli, have four children and reside in New York.

The comedian left her post at "The View" on Friday following an on-air dust up with co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck. She said later that she was perturbed about the use of split screen during the verbal face off.

Barbara Walters said on the show Tuesday that O'Donnell is welcome back anytime. Hasselbeck said that she and O'Donnell had communicated over the long holiday weekend and were working toward forgiveness.

How sad is it that a professed Christian woman, Elizabeth Hasselbeck, has to lie about her NON-communication with Rosie since Rosie left "The View". Rosie said on her Blog that EH talked only to Kelly for several hours but that Rosie had not spoke with her and more than likely wouldn't. EH practically accused Rosie of calling the troops "terrorists" and didn't come to Rosie's defense when knowing full well Rosie doesn't feel that way. I don't understand EH's totally being a Bushido that she wouldn't defend Rosie with the truth of the matter. EH, when the roll is called up yonder ye will NOT be there!

I'm soooo glad Rosie has left the show, she was toxic and very closed minded, only interested in spewing her Leftist, whack-o views. They just need to get rid of Hateful, Big Mouth, Joy Behar and replace her with someone who will lift up the show, not bring it down to dirt level! Neither one of those two should be on t.v.
Elizabeth took a lot of punches from those two bozo's in the past and has held her own. She's a Smart Cookie!

Thank God Rosie is gone. I used to like her 10-15 years ago but she makes my skin crawl. I feel sorry for those kids.I'm so tired of her constant one way oponion and no respect for others. Everyone has a VIEW and they should be allowed to express it with out constant confrontations.

Like I said in previous emails we have soooo many things going on in our country things that really need our prayers and also some sensible solutions! Rosie and the view is nothing but TRASH TV! If they cannot offer some constructive view point or point people in the right direction to help others or our own country it is a waste of valuable time!

Ms. O'Donnell was used to increase ratings & then squeezed out & discarded like an old tube of toothpaste. What I find most disturbing isn't Rosie's departure but the lack of a deeper understanding regarding what is actually going on this country. We voice "opinions" which are often based on limited information. Instead of watching The View, tune to C-SPAN & hear what is actually going on before it gets spun into cotton candy or worse completely ignored. On May 9th, Bush signed an executive order giving the president power over the entire country without the interference of Congress/Supreme Court. This could happen in case there is an "emergency" which is subjectively defined. Elections could be suspended. Why is this not being discussed? Why is something of this magnitude conspicuously absent from the news?
