Sanjaya Is Hit Of White House Dinner
(AP)
President Bush might been the most powerful man at the White House Correspondents' Dinner in Washington over the weekend, but he certainly wasn't the most popular.
The longest line for autographs led to Sanjaya, who was voted off of "American Idol" last week.
Sanjaya told "Live With Regis and Kelly" that he couldn't believe it when the governor of New York told him he was a fan.
What he didn't mention is that the governor was initially shooed away by People magazine, who'd invited Sanjaya.
Tonight, Sanjaya reads the top 10 list on "Late Show With David Letterman."

The Washington Post reports that it wasn't until Eliot Spitzer said, "But I'm the governor of New York" that he was able to get an autograph.Photos: Popular Dinner Guest
