(CBS)  Don't despair if you've been getting lots of rain in your area.

Remember: April showers bring May flowers!

April is also a good time to plant summer flower bulbs.

On The Early Show Friday, garden designer Michael Weishan offered tips on getting them going.

They're a great and easy way to add a punch of color to your garden, with both flowers and foliage.

Incidentally: Summer bulbs are defined as those that bloom in the summer. Spring bulbs are planted in the fall, but bloom the following spring.
