"All-Access" Takes In Tahiti!
(CBS)
Talk about whirlwind weekends!
Dave Price and travel companion Frank Kulbaski, a lawyer from Washington, D.C., headed Friday for the clear blue waters of the South Pacific -- and Tahiti!
To get there, they flew from Washington to New York, then to Tahiti, then back via Los Angeles; Dave continued on to New York. Dave logged 13,295 miles for the weekend, making his running total for this latest series of All-Access trips 44,841 miles.
On Wednesday, Dave let Early Show viewers in on some of the fun he and Frank had on their Tahitian "All-Access" adventure.
They went snorkeling among some of the most exotic fish in the world, not to mention some sharks; swam with dolphins; ate delicious tropical foods, and learned how to mix Tahitian drinks.
They participated in a traditional local festival that had them lifting heavy stones and throwing javelins, among other things.
They even took a helicopter to an island once owned by a big star. It's still looked after by the star's son and will be the site of an eco-friendly hotel within a few years.
A thankful Frank called his adventure "an amazing experience for me that I'll never have again."
To watch Dave's report,, .
Professional underwater photographer Anthony Lagant shot the swimming with dolphins video.
Air Tahiti Nui winged Dave and Frank first-class on a non-stop flight to its homeland.
Tahiti Tourism helped to arrange the trip.
Dave and Frank stayed in over-water bungalows at the Intercontinental Resort Tahiti.
Tahiti, as much as anything, is known for its pearls. For more on that, visit the Web site of Tahia Collins.
