Penelope Cruz was nominated for Best Actress for her role in "Volver." She didn't win, but she did win on the red carpet, according to Suze Yalof Schwartz, Glamour magazine's executive fashion editor-at-large. (AFP/Getty Images)
Suze Yalof Schwartz, Glamour magazine's executive fashion editor-at-large, told The Early Show co-anchor Julie Chen what she thought about the fashion, hair and makeup worn by the stars.
Schwartz said Penelope Cruz and Cate Blanchett dominated the red carpet. Cruz wore a Versace gown with a big, ruffle-laden fishtail.
"I loved the draping and the bottom. We are seeing a lot of tails," Schwartz said. "An incredible look. And she carried a Swarovski bag. Most did not. She looked so chic."
Blanchett wore a beautiful, metallic Armani Prive embellished with Swarovski crystal. It fit her perfectly. The metallic look is still very hot and very fashion-forward, Schwartz said.
