Tara Reid Takes A Tumble On Red Carpet

The Actress Is Struggling To Rebuild Her Career

(CBS)  Tara Reid has been much maligned in Hollywood and is undergoing a major image overhaul.

But after riding hip-hop singer Akon like a rodeo horse at Sundance a few weeks ago, Reid took a nasty spill while walking the red carpet at the Market America and Ocean Drive magazine concert in Miami Beach on Saturday night.

Meanwhile, she had her name and reputation tarnished when the brain behind "Girls Gone Wild," Joe Francis, told shock jock Howard Stern that Reid is the worst celebrity in bed. He said Reid's ex-best friend, Paris Hilton, was the best.

"Tara is the worst in bed," a groggy sounding Francis said. "I love Tara, but, honestly, she pretty much lays there."

So what is going on? Does the star of the boozy reality travel show "Taradise" have a shot at becoming a respectable actress again?

It depends on her upcoming work and if she can stay away from negative press. Her latest movie, "Incubus," went straight to the Web and wasn't shown in theaters. She is set to star in and executive produce the indie romantic comedy "Honesty," and stars in the upcoming comedy "7-10 Split." Her brother is directing both movies.

In late 2006, Reid began to distance herself from the bad choices she made in the past. She went on the "Today Show" to talk about her botched plastic surgery, which she said made her breasts look like "goose-shaped eggs." A wardrobe malfunction on the red carpet in 2004 exposed a deformed nipple and people began calling her "Franken-nipple."

"I was smiling like a fool and people were snapping away. When I realized it, I cried and begged the photographers not to print it, but it was everywhere … I was on the Web sites as having the ugliest boobs in the world," she told Us Weekly in October 2006.

A procedure called body contouring done by the same surgeon also went awry and, Reid said, her stomach became "the most ripply, bulgy thing …As a result, I couldn't wear a bikini. I lost a lot of work."

Tara who? Sorry, but her star burned out after American Pie--or maybe it was she that burned out. Too young, too much fame, too soon... it happens so often. She's now trying to use a stylist, class her act up, & stopping so much partying in public. I last saw her in Scrubs & she seemed to play herself... partygirl, drinking, flirting, making-out, & sleeping with about anyone. I hated seeing her in the series, because it is one of my favorite TV programs & I felt like I was actually seeing her real life & how she is, which made me sad while watching the show. I really hope they don't have her on anymore... she was there almost a whole season. Did I mention that it is one of my favs and it runied the show for me? Good luck with trying to change your image. But please change your lifestyle to fit it too.
