(CBS)  Life will imitate art next month when Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore judge a songwriting contest for VH1. Grant and Barrymore play songwriters in their upcoming romantic comedy "Music and Lyrics."

More than 400 entries were sent in during the entry phase of the "Your Music, Your Lyrics" contest from Dec. 26, 2006 through Jan. 20, 2007.

The songs are currently being rated by online users until Feb. 2. The winning song will be selected on Feb. 3 by Grant, Barrymore and a panel of experts from VH1.

The winner will be flown to Los Angeles for the red carpet premiere of "Music and Lyrics" and will have the song professionally recorded.

Grant plays washed-up '80s pop star Alex Fletcher in "Music And Lyrics," which opens on Valentine's Day. When Fletcher gets a shot at making a comeback, he ropes in an offbeat younger woman (Drew Barrymore) with a flair for words to be his lyricist.

Brad Garrett and Campbell Scott also star.
