(CBS)  Relatively small, easy, inexpensive projects can go a long way toward improving the look of the inside of your home, says The Early Show's favorite handyman, Danny Lipford.

On the show on Thursday, Lipford, the host of "Today's Homeowner," showed several ways to give your home a little "nip and tuck"!

"These are much easier than most things that you usually encounter in your home," Lipford told co-anchor Harry Smith. "And you make such a difference for such a little bit of money and a little bit of investment in time."

Lipford started with flooring, which he said is one of the best ways to change the look of a room. Then, he showed a simple way to freshen up bathroom grout. Next, painting "accent walls" the easy way. Also, spiffing up ceiling fan blades.
