(CBS)  Wedding fashion has come a long way.

From demure to dazzling, women have more choices in dresses for their walk down the aisle.

You can find a dress for any figure and budget, and still look fabulous.

An Early Show "Chic on a Shoestring" segment Wednesday featured InStyle magazine Market Director Toby Tucker Peters offering amazing looks from the latest issue of InStyle Weddings.

In "Chic on a Shoestring," expensive "splurge" outfits are shown along with much more reasonably priced combinations called "steals." It's often hard to tell the difference.

The looks were particularly timely, since many women got engaged over the holidays and are starting to plan their nuptials.

But Peters proved they don't have to blow their entire wedding budget on the dress.

He had three dresses, each for a particular "wedding style."

Peters urged brides-to-be to remember their dress should reflect their personal style, as well as the tone they want to set for their wedding. He implored them not to be shy, and to try on lots of styles.

LOOK ONE — SOFTLY FEMININE, for a slightly romantic feel without all the big ruffles or million yards of tulle. It's romantic, but restrained look that's sweet, yet stunning.

Steal:

J. Crew, $1,200
Strapless silk faille eyelet column

Splurge:

Lela Rose, $7,995
Collton tulle gown with embroidered and crocheted details

LOOK TWO — BEACH BOUND: Many couples these days choose a beach wedding. That doesn't mean you should just get married in a white bikini.

Steal:

Sandals Destination by the Dessy Group, $450
Chiffon gown with ruffled neckline

Splurge:

Romona Keveza, $4,385
Strapless silk chiffon gown with ruched bodice and chapel train

LOOK THREE — SWEET DREAM: Evoke an age of innocence with pretty ribbons, graceful necklines and delicate pleats.

Steal:

Casablanca, $950
Tulle gown with silver embroidery and floral lace

Splurge:

Oscar de la Renta, $8,050
Ivory silk razmir gown with embroidered trim and silk razmir bow

Let's see bargin dresses? $1200, $950 and $450. Not in my lifetime. My first daughter's gown ws $750 off the rack beautfiul dress, which was expensive for us. My daughter who is getting married this spring got an $1100 dress for 1/2 price and then got another 50% off for donated canned goods to the local food pantry. Total cost $280! You people wouldn't know a bargin if it hit you in the face!
