Lawyers tell CBS News the family will file a lawsuit in Los Angeles Tuesday, claiming Simpson still got paid, seeking to undo all the transactions related to the deal and, where appropriate, recover money for the Goldman family.
The Early Shownational correspondent Hattie Kauffman spoke exclusively with Goldman's sister, Kim.
CBS News has been given exclusive access to the lawsuit itself. To see it, click here.
The suit claims Simpson set up a bogus company so he could hide the money he received for "If I Did It," the book that was never released.
"He was given a book advance, as many authors are given when they write books," Goldman told Kauffman. "He was forwarded, I believe it was somewhere in the $800,000 range."
The suit asserts Simpson created a company "for the sole purpose of spiriting money from the hands of creditors," including the Goldmans.
"We believe there was a company called Lorraine Brook Associates. … The company is named after the middle names of both of his children, the killer's children."
The suit names Simpson and Lorraine Brook as defendants.
The book was to be published by Judith Regan, and the deal was to include a Fox TV special. But after a huge public outcry last month, the deal was cancelled last month.
Jonathan Polak, a Goldman family attorney, explained to Kauffman, "This lawsuit sets the stage for going after who we perceive to be the real villains in this: News Corp., Judith Regan, Regan Publishing."
The fallout from the book deal and other matters led to publisher Regan being fired last week by News Corp.
"We believe that there were many people who were involved, including Judith Regan, who knew that this was going on," Goldman says.
"Look," Polak added, "the whole purpose of this book deal, the way it was set up, was to prevent the Goldmans and other creditors from being able to get at the money that was paid to Simpson."
The Goldman's have been pursuing Simpson for ten years. After his acquittal in the murders of Ron Goldman and Simpson's wife, Nicole Simpson, they won a civil suit against Simpson, but have never collected a penny.
Asked if she thinks this suit will lead to her family collecting any money, Kim Goldman responded, "Honestly, at this point, my family and I take much pride in the moral victories that we've been able to accomplish over the last 12 years."
During that time, Simpson's business deals, such as signing autographs for cash, amounted to small change.
In this case, he acknowledged in a radio interview that he made significant money, saying, "I was able to secure my homestead, pay off a whole lot of bills, and put my kids in a position to have their financial future totally secured."
Those words may now come back to haunt him, Kauffman points out.
Says Goldman, "He loves the fact that he can live his life and snub us, so at some point, if we are able to recover funds, good for us."

- Take OJ for every penny he makes. It isn't fair that family members of Ron Goldman must suffer his tragic murder, but recieve nothing for it. While OJ is golfing in Florida or riding his yacht, Goldmans and Browns get nothing. So what he makes,Take it. He doesn't seserve it anyway.

- Why do people say "get over it" to the victims rather than the backbone way which expects the guilty to "repent!"?

- "Vengence is mine", saith the Lord. The Goldmans and Browns need to get over this. Hopefully, they raised their children so that they are in a better place now. Heaven is my home!

- "torment an INNOCENT man"
OJ Simpson was found innocent in the criminal trial, and guilty in the civil trial (where evidence like his blood being on Goldman's shirt despite Simpson saying he'd never met Goldman could be introduced).
You can call it double-jeopardy, or you can call it some small amount of justice done. - Reply to this comment
- The L.A. establishment didn't turn O.J. loose, 12 jurors did. I think this trend of falling back on a civil suit because you didn't get what you wanted in a criminal trial should be stopped; it is de facto double-jeopardy. Do I think O.J. killed two people? Yes. But public opinion isn't how the system works. If that's what you're into, try a lynch mob next time instead of court---but remember, when we get to that point, you could easily be next.

- I'd have a lot more respect for the Goldmans if they had sued to make O.J. do their yard work or something; I always question the motives of anyone who demands money in recompense of human life.

OK, so we know your opinion on Agnim; what is it on the real topic of the gold digging gold man? LOL
You think that the son should rest in peace while the gold digging dad fall to pieces for foolishly trying to torment an INNOCENT man whom hefty and hard hitting defensive backs (real men) couldn't phase? LOL - Reply to this comment
- leave him alone. She should have been stoned, read the bible. and that monger got what he needed. when you look back, we all get exactly what we deserve. God loves to test us and show us why this or that happends.when you look back, after a period of time ,the reasons will be clear. A group in heaven is watching and learning from this.

- To me this is sad because it is an indication that the family of the victims have not got on with their lives. It is sad that some lawyer(s) will prosper regardless of the outcome, only because of the immeasurable grief they must be feeling. I'm sure that Ms. Brown and Mr. Goldman would not want their families to forsake the living of their lives in the pursuit of such aims. O.J. will oneday face his maker and then regardless of my feelings about what happened or even the feelings of the family members of those killed, our creator will balance the ledger. That should be enough for any of us.

- Thanks to the Goldman's justice may one day, finally, be, a little bit, done, despite the LA establishments' lockstep activities to prevent it. Was letting a cold blooded killer loose to prevent black riots in LA worth it?

- I wonder if OJ thought about what he was doing to his children when he nearly decapitated their mother?

- Simpson lost the civil suit, Goldman won. Legally. Simpson owes the money; Goldman is trying to recover it. Legally. Simpson is sup-
posed to be paying the Goldmans; he is not. And
he certainly doesn't look like he cares one way or another about how people think of him. Per-
sonally, I think businesses should put up signs on their doors, "O.J. SIMPSON NOT ALLOWED ON PREMISES"; maybe THAT would bother him. Good luck, Goldman family. I hope you get everything you were awarded. - Reply to this comment
- anyone remember that Ron was there only as a coincidince that night? Nicole's mother had left her sunglasses at the restaurant where they had eaten dinner that night after Sidney's dance recital...a dinner that OJ wasn't invited to. Ron was simply returning the glasses to Nicole as it was Nicole who had called the restaurant to see if that is where they had been lost.
More importantly...why the heck would OJ have been there? He didn't live there so he must have had a motive....think about it. - Reply to this comment
I just wonder if Mr Goldman every stop to think how Ron would feel about what he's putting Nicoles children though? I think Ron care enough about Nicole he would not want this. Is OJ thinking about his children?- Reply to this comment
- I do not know if Nicole and Ron were sleeping together nor do I care. It is terrible that anyone would be killed in such a gruesome manner. No one deserves that. My argument is as previous stated: O.J. was acquitted by a criminal court. That means his peers believed he was innocent. Civil court has become a platform for people to be taken advantage of. I personally do not know if OJ did this, but none of us have the right to pass judgement unless you were there during the actual killing.

Seems like you and waiter son would have had just about enough sense to known your places. LOL
You don't seem like the fool who would just 'rush in' and challenge an all pro to his female?
After all, he's had to deal with harder hitting REAL MEN on the field, right? LOL - Reply to this comment

I don't know what world you live in or what country but you sure missed the OJ point. He's insane about publicity - he would do anything not to be ignored - so don't get your burka in a tiff. - Reply to this comment
