Wilson confirmed the move from Washington in an e-mail to The New Mexican newspaper in Santa Fe.
Wilson said the couple, who frequently visit Santa Fe, decided to move because of "the beauty of the state and the hospitality of its citizens."
He did not say when the move would take place.
Former White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby faces charges of perjury and obstruction in connection with Plame's name being leaked to reporters. Libby, whose trial is to begin next month, is accused of lying to investigators about his conversations with reporters regarding Plame.
Plame believes the administration leaked her name to reporters as retribution for her husband's criticism of intelligence before the Iraqi war.
Wilson in 2002 discounted reports that then-Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein tried to buy yellowcake uranium from Niger to make a nuclear weapon. The claim wound up in President Bush's 2003 State of the Union address.
Wilson visited New Mexico at least twice this year on behalf of the congressional campaign of Democrat Patricia Madrid. He said his efforts were as a volunteer, "a simple citizen exercising my right to support the candidate of my choice."
Wilson and Plame also were in Albuquerque in September as guests of honor at an event for the Military Religious Freedom Foundation.
Plame has sued Cheney, Libby, White House adviser Karl Rove and the former No. 2 official at the State Department, Richard Armitage. The federal lawsuit accuses the White House officials of violating Plame and Wilson's constitutional rights to equal protection and freedom of speech, and accuses Armitage of violating Plame's privacy rights.

I have but one question for you: For what reason was Valerie Plame's status as a CIA employee leaked to the press?
Please skip the rhetoric about what others might have done and answer the question. - Reply to this comment

- Of course along with blowing her cover, Cheney also blew the cover of her many contacts and put their lives in danger. What he did was not just criminal, it was inexcusable and unforgivable. Besides the only "career" ruined on the republican side was that of one minor toady named Libbey. The "careers" of the slim masters Cheney and Rove are moving right along. Their reputation is still intact. They were known as complete and utter as*sholes before and they still are. They care about nothing, beyond power and money. Not America, not the American people and certainly not our intelligence operatives. To them everyone is expendable if it puts power in their pockets or money in their bank. They're pigs.

- It had been 3 years since she was under deep cover, but her status was still highly classified. So the idea the she was just some sort of desk spy is ridiculous. By blowing her cover *** Cheney destroyed her considerable value as she still had many contacts, esp in Africa, and could now no longer go back out in the field undercover. No matter how you try to tap dance around the issue, what Cheney did was treasonous.

The Demolibbers subscribe to the theory that if you say the same thing enough times it becomes true.
They just keep hoping and praying (not that they really pray of course ) that they will be able to bring Bush down to their level on par with the all time heel and loser Billyboy.
Billy lied to the Grand Jury. Billy bombed an aspirin factory to deflect attention from his own actions. Billy waved his nasty finger at the peoples face and told a barefaced lie on TV. Billy was impeached and these poor wounded souls will have no rest, ever.
As a whole they are a paranoid schizophrenic pack of wolves.
As a Demo friend said when Sandy Burgler accidentally dropped secret documents into his pants (ROFL) " Semper in excreta sumus, solum profundum variat" (we're always in the poop, but the depth varies. ) - Reply to this comment

- They look like such a nice couple, making the Washington social elite rounds, contributing to the democratic party. As usual, this is and was a set up from the word go. Lives and careers were ruined for one purpose and one purpose only. For democratic's gain.

Of course they looked like such a nice Washington couple. It's called a COVER! Do you think CIA agents run around with name tags that say "Hi, I'm a spy"? And yes she was on a desk the last few years of her service. It's called a promotion and reward for many years of being an effective undercover field agent. Or did you think they only promote the lousy and stupid ones like the republicans do when looking for a president? Oh it was a set-up alright and it had Cheney's slimy fingerprints all over it. - Reply to this comment
- Republicans will never learn. It's not the crime that trips you up, it's the cover up.

- Libby was indicted for lying to the FBI and to a Grand Jury. Of course that's a crime and the slimy little pr*ick should go to prison for it. Shame we didn't quite catch Rove...yet.

- No one did anything wrong in the Plame case. Armitage said he was the Novak's source for the so-called outing of Plame. Fitzgerald knew this a long time ago but continued to harrass these other people. Libby was charged with lying. He was not charged with outing Plame. There is something wrong with the system when the prosecutor finds out who the cuplprit is, but doesn't indict him for the "crime" he is hunting for, but then indicts another person for lying. Just because Libby was indicted doesn't mean he will go to jail.
