Nation: Lately, More Ills Of The World Are Blamed On Women

  • Play CBS Video Video Women's Rights In Islam

After more than a hundred prominent Muslim women met in New York to discuss women's rights in the context of Islam, one Islamic scholar, Ingrid Mattson, spoke with Randall Pinkston about her new role.

  • Senior Australian Muslim cleric Sheik Taj Aldin al Hilali is seen in this file photo from July 31, 2006. The cleric triggered national outrage in October for likening women who dress immodestly to meat that is left out for prey to eat; critics said the comment excused rape.

Illegal Immigration According to the Missouri legislature's GOP-heavy House Special Committee on Immigration Reform, there's a simple reason Mexicans are pouring across the border: abortion. "You don't have to think too long," said chair Representative Ed Emery. "If you kill 44 million of your potential workers, it's not too surprising we would be desperate for workers." In Missouri alone, women have murdered 80,000 future roofers and nannies since Roe v. Wade.

Grousing According to Rachel Morrison of the Auckland University of Technology, women spread workplace dissatisfaction. Unlike men, who bond by drinking and having fun, women bond by talking about their problems. That's bad for office morale — before you know it they might start demanding equal pay! And female griping isn't limited to your ordinary office worker. As Phyllis Schlafly pointed out in an interview on scotusblog.com, "Both Justices O'Connor and Ginsburg are younger than I am, and I had no trouble getting a job when I graduated from college and obtained a master's degree from Harvard. I am skeptical of self-serving claims, made decades later, that a woman could not get a job due to alleged sex discrimination. At any rate, it surely is bad grace for those two, who have enjoyed the most prestigious and powerful jobs in America, to complain about discrimination."

Bad dogs Cesar Millan, the hugely popular dog psychologist, explained to The New York Times Magazine's Deborah Solomon that dogs need firm, manly leadership: "If what you do is say, 'I'm sorry, baby, Mommy has to go, blah, blah, blah,' the dog doesn't understand what you are saying. He only understands that you are in a soft state and he is dominating you." (The proper valediction to a dog is "Bye, man.") So next time you read about a pit bull ripping out a toddler's throat, blame the woman who didn't swat it with a newspaper when it peed on the sofa.

Childhood Obesity It's obvious that women are responsible for everything that goes wrong with children, beginning with having them (or, in Missouri, not having them). In July, Time magazine suggested that mothers are even responsible for fathering: Their controlling, hypercritical "gatekeeper" behavior keeps Dad on the sidelines. But did you know working mothers make their kids fat? According to economists Patricia Anderson, Kristin Butcher and Phillip Levine, even 10 hours a week of maternal employment ups a child's chances of becoming overweight. The more she works, the greater the risk. Why? The authors suggest that Mom is not available to supervise "vigorous exercise" and relies on junk food instead of home-cooked meals. To be fair, the authors call for social measures like better school nutrition and after-school programs, but the idea that Dad might step up to the stove now that Mom's so busy doesn't occur to them. It's Mom or Mickey D's.

National Ruin Nancy Pelosi hasn't even been officially made Speaker of the House, and she's already being declared a disaster — a weak, emotional, vengeful prima donna who, much like a woman dog owner, doesn't understand how to lead. On Fox Morton Kondracke called her the Wicked Witch of the West. In the New York Times Thomas Edsall blamed her for the unraveling of the Democrats — which, given that they haven't had a chance to ravel, is quite a feat. All this over a few contested leadership positions! Meanwhile, the Republicans brought Trent Lott back as minority leader with nary a whisper of dissent. Now that's leadership. Heel!

Before it's over, Nancy Pelosi will be villified just as much as Hillary was as First Lady...men can't stand a woman with power, particularly men who didn't have a good relationship with their mother. I hope she is strong and effective because she is going to have to do the job of three men just to stay in position...every little thing she does is going to made the most of by jealous and threatened men...and by women who love to back-bite. Get ready, Nancy!

I think women, particularly American women, have been negligent in staying true to their natures and instead have found power in emulating men instead of enjoying their equality by embracing their nurturing maternal nature.

If people didn't really believe the rot it would be funny. Unfortunatly once men felt threatened by women's strength they started blaming them for everything that does and could go wrong. Someday men will clain responsibility for their own actions instead of trying to blame women. I don't think I'll be alive to see it but I wish I could be. I had a college history professor say once that sooner or later women will come into power and that he hopes that they treat men better then men treated them. I'm a little for the vengence part but like I said, I will be dead before women come into their own.

To the person who asked: "let me ask you if the person who created the earth and everything in it who owns everything wants to destroy his things?"

Remember that big portion of the bible that dealt with Noah and the flood? Remember what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah? Remember that part that talked about a 'vengeful god'?

Your answer is yes, and often.

and to finish my earlier statement regarding that protestants dont serve the same God as catholics and muslims ask a muslim if he believes the Bible he will say no and then he' ll tell you about the quar'an and the god of the quar'an and the catholics will tell you about the Bible which only the priests are allowed to try to understand and read in services and if you are Bill Gates you are pretty well off cuz you can buy your way into heaven by making a very large charitable donation for a certificates of forgiveness and if im not mistaken those are still used in the south american areas

And regarding your comment of His 'inexistence' when you go to heaven to be judged why don't you ask Him yourself ask him how he can judge you if He and i quote 'is not real' when simply you can't prove evolution occurred either, it has more proof disproving it then it has proof supporting it and in that proof supporting it almost all of it has been disproved or is based on circular reasoning also evolution goes against so many fundamental laws its aggravating because it disproves itself even before anything to it is said for example and i quote 'everything is mutating becoming better' ok there Einstein how is everything moving towards a state of entropy like the second law of thermodynamics says! or how about the natural law that stats that almost 100% of mutations are harmful! so how on earth would this world wit so many creatures exist if by mutations that are harmful and a world that is decaying and now becoming better oh let me think oh i know God made it it is His and we should ask His forgiveness for our own stupidity.

Ya gotta snip the females too. Even if you neuter all the male cats, the females will fight all night and keep you awake. Trust me, I know.

Scary, isn't it?

I also think the whole world should start protesting female castration such as in India.

Why is it the most bloodshed, the most oppression, the most pain, is always carried out in the name of a religion and a holy spirit that nobody can verify?

This goes back to Adam and Eve in the Bible.
Probably in Muslum Koran too some where.
Eve ate or picked the apple and brought sin on mankind.
This is why women have been blamed for most things and have not had equal rights.
Religion can be dangerous in the wrong hands.
Actually still practiced in some religion's that women are not equal to men.
In America, women only began to be able to vote in the 1920's. That's just 86 years ago or so.
46 years ago they were burning bra's.
Not that long ago if you think about it.

Yup, and these characters want to rule the world, but then, they are the same ones that rioted and killed over some cartoon characters. Man we are in for a long and difficult struggle, as moderate Muslims seem to not care and very time the media gives these people a forum to spew their BS.

Anyone who agrees with this idiot is probably
slightly above moron. Most men who feel that way toward women are very stupid and backward. Smart women threaten stupid men. It's not even debateable.
