(CBS)  "Living Room ... Live! Kids"

Each Monday for three months, The Early Show aired excerpts of three videos we selected as the best/funniest/most outrageous of ones submitted by viewers, then asked viewers to vote online for the one they liked most.

In addition to The Early Show segment, CBSNews.com offered a weekly, six-minute Webcast and three-minute podcast hosted by Adam Kontras of Adam and the Egos, who made his TV debut on "Living Room … Live!" Adam and his fellow band members told you more about each candidate.

Week 13: The Ultimate Finalists' Round

The three ultimate finalists, whose videos were shown again Monday, were:

Madeline Edwards, 11, of Goldsboro, N.C., sang "O Mio Babbino Caro." Click here to see the video.

Congratulations Madeline!

The Fritsch family thanks everyone for their overwhelming support of Katherine during this contest. Our family is so appreciative for the enthusiasm and encouragement received from so many people including family, friends, coaches, soldiers, co-workers, classmates, teachers, local media, in many cases entire organizations especially the Carolina Hurricanes and our fellow Caniacs!

Raleigh, and many parts of the country, has made this such a wonderful life long memory for our whole family. Thank you for coming along for the ride.

In half an hour or so we'll know who the voters chose. You can't really go wrong with ANY of these acts -- they've all done their families, friends and communities proud. And they've all shown a lot of professionalism and guts in their performances.

Crooked X, you guys have a kind of vintage sound that reminds me of early Black Sabbath. Can't wait to see what happens as time goes on. Also very gutsy doing an original song.

Madeline, what can I say? Doing opera is gutsy all by itself -- and you nailed it.

And finally, Katherine... Nobody who's heard you sing at a Hurricanes game needs to hear my thoughts, but those of you who haven't have missed out on something pretty special. The guts factor in this selection mainly stems from the fact that if you maks a mistake in singing the national anthem EVERYbody is going to know because everybody knows what it's SUPPOSED to sound like. And I think "Dewey" put it best in Week 12 when he said "...a voice so booming and effortless..." "Effortless" is exactly the word I was looking for. The Star Spangled Banner is anything BUT an effortless song for a singer, and KK... you make it look easy. I hope the voting public agrees -- I know the Caniac Nation does!

Thanks, CBS, for moving quickly to restore the sanity! Here's hoping that all comments from here on out will be made with the understanding that each precious child involved in the finals will be reading them. Katherine, you have an incredible voice, and you are an all-American cutie. Madeline, you are as beautiful as your voice is. CX, you continue to amaze me with your talent to write, perform, and sing your own music as well as how you work together. No matter who wins tomorrow, each of you has a bright future-you have the talent to make your future whatever you want it to be. Good luck to all; I voted primarily based on personal preference and a few other minor factors, but that does not mean I felt the other two acts have less talent. These are incredible acts in their genres.
