The couple were married July 29 on a yacht in St. Tropez. Then they tied the knot twice in August in a civil ceremony in Beverly Hills and at a honky tonk in Nashville.
Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, filed a separate divorce petition, within an hour of Anderson's, early Monday. Anderson reported their separation date as Nov. 21; Ritchie said it was Nov. 26.
Both cited irreconcilable differences as the reason.
On her Web site Monday, Anderson posted a message that said, "Divorce Yes, it's true. Unfortunately impossible." A picture of the pair appeared next to the statement.
Earlier this month, US Weekly magazine reported that Anderson confirmed that she suffered a miscarriage. Anderson's rep asked that "Pamela's privacy be respected at this time."
On Oct. 28, the couple exchanged vows again in a suburban Detroit restaurant in the most traditional of their four wedding ceremonies. According to the Detroit Free Press, Anderson wore a formal white wedding dress and Rock wore a black tux and Panama hat.Photos: Pamela Anderson & Kid Rock's nuptials

- It appears to me that a quick divorce has become an established culture in America and UK. This clearly illuminates that there is an unchecked radical transformation in sphere of family and marriage system. if we measure the repercussions of these insane celebrity relationships on society, we can rightly conclude that we are welcoming an even more socially chaotic world which is thousand times bad than that present day world. it is unfortunate that the celebrities who are being promoted as symbols of individual success are transforming into irresponsible global citizens. While their endeavors as being singers, actors, sports persons, models, businessmen and women and so on make them as a positive role model, their so called private life, which is comprehensively covered by insane media, disqualify them from being a role models. Further, their individual endeavors which were filled with insane sexuality will have negative impact on the budding generation of celebrities, college goers and school children. in a world where cultural liberty had reached the finale point, further cultivation of sexual pervertedness would lead to uncontrollable social chose. i am referring to sexual pervertedness because most of the star splits in Uk and US are resulted from infidelity, adultery and cheating on partner. None of these splits are having any rational justifications. This is very bad for the very concept of divorce and family.

- THE LEADING CAUSE OF DIVORCE IS MARRIAGE.

- It's easy to judge other people like Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock and make fun of their mistakes. The last time I checked, the divorce rate in the US is about 50%. One of the reasons people get divorced has to do with people no longer being able to get along... Passing judgment on other people is another example of why people don't get along in this world.

- I suppose when you have no other way to get publicity, you have to use what you have. I suppose Pamela could stay in the news forever with say 1-2 marriages a year for a long time. Hollywood makes a mockery of marriage anyway. Why is anybody surprised. Did anyone actually think these two would be "the one's who would finally make it"... I think not. Maybe she could remarry Tommy now... I can't imagine what her children are going through. What a shame.

- I am so crushed........NOT! I don't think either one of them know the meaning of committment.
And to cheshirebear
Your comment about "Heaven forbid people who have been together for 10, 20, 30, 50 yrs cant get legally married because they are the same ***"...guess you haven't heard about the 2 women married in Massachusettes trying to get a divorce in Rhode Island..now putting the courts in a dilemma because since the state doesn't recognize same s*ex marriages, how can the 2 get divorced? So it isn't any different..and these 2 women were at the forefront of getting same s*ex marriages legalized. How's that for an embarrassment!!!! - Reply to this comment
- Yes, the sanctity of marriage is a joke these days. And it's so much easier to divorce or have a marriage anulled if you have money. The anullment issue really gets me. A marriage supposedly cannot be anulled if it has been consimated, but throw in a few thousand bucks and it's no problem, no questions asked!!! Whatever happened to just living together?

- Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's child out of wedlock, Kate Hudson has an affair and leaves her husband, Brittany Spears gets married and divorced within 48 hours and now Pamela Anderson is married for less than 6 months. It is amazing how the neo-conservative religious activists are silent when such headlines appear in the news. But though, gay marriage is the cause of the breakdown of family values. Could the deafening silence be a result of the fact that it is easier (and causes less backlash) to criticize those that are outside your tent than those who are "inside" your tent?
