(CBS)  Jessica Simpson reportedly lost out on a big-time fashion ad campaign to Lindsay Lohan because of her attachment to chummy hairdresser Ken Paves.

Insiders told the New York Post that Miu Miu had the singer in mind for the campaign — to be shot by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott — but when they learned Simpson was on the list, they nixed the idea because of her insistence upon using Paves during a Vanity Fair shoot.

"They felt snubbed by Jessica because they were set to do her Vanity Fair shoot several months ago," an insider told Page Six. "Being the professionals they are, they wanted to bring in their own hair and makeup team, but Jessica said if they didn't use Ken, then she wasn't sitting for the shoot."

The Post source insists it was the hair drama that killed the Vanity Fair spread.

"Most fashion photographers use their own people — and they certainly don't use Ken Paves, who is considered tacky and amateurish for high-fashion shoots. He's very 'Texas pageant hair,' " the source said.

A rep for Simpson told the newspaper, "She could not have done the campaign anyway because she has her own clothing and shoe line."

To me she's no longer that nice little girl we all know anymore ... she is doing thing her way and what ever that makes her happy for now but in the long run ... one day she would look back and regret it!
What happened to her daddy? Why is she no longer daddy's little girl anymore too? Well she'll get what she deserve if she not smart in the end and has only herself to blame!

IT SEEMS TO ME THAT JESSICA WAS AT HER BEST WHEN SHE WAS WITH NICK. SHE WAS MORE BEAUTIFUL AND LOOKED SO HAPPY! SHE IS LOSING HER LOOKS NOW AND JUST DOES NOT QUITE SEEM THE SAME. NICK ON THE OTHER HAND IS FABULOUS AND HAS KEPT HIS APPEAL! IF HER DAD WAS BEHIND THE BREAKUP AS REPORTED HE SHOULD BE ASHAMED. I AM SURE HE THOUGHT NICK WOULD GO DOWN THE TOILET! HE HAS REMAINED A CLASS ACT.

They say her hairdresser is "tacky and amateurish" "He's very 'Texas pageant hair" .... that must be why they get along so well. ***, not smart is what sells in Hollywood. The "dumb blonde" commercial she does now for satellite cable is just another example. Nobody will ever take her seriously. The most beautiful women in the world are the ones who aren't afraid to show their intelligence and be proud of it. You can be drop-dead-gorgeous and insist on taking roles that do not portray you as ignorant. It is called 'integrity' and that is something no plastic surgeon can ever give Jessica.

Hey Jess? If I were you, I'd take any job I could get. You can't write your own ticket anymore - you don't have that kind of pull. Tell your "little hairdressing friend" to stay home and just shut up and do what you're told. Is your hairdresser going to pay your bills? Nick sure could have but you screwed yourself out of that one too. You aren't batting real well are ya sweetie?
