Dixie Chicks, PCD & Furtado At AMAs

The Dixie Chicks, Pussycat Dolls, and Nelly Furtado have all joined the lineup of performers at the 2006 American Music Awards.
Furtado is nominated for Favorite Female Artist Pop/Rock and Pussycat Dolls are nominated for Favorite Band, Duo or Group Pop/Rock. The Dixie Chicks are not nominated for an award.
The show, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will air live on ABC on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2006.
Previously announced performers include Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Carrie Underwood and Josh Groban.
Mariah Carey, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Black Eyed Peas and Nickelback each captured three American Music Award nominations.
Mary J. Blige, Eminem, Kanye West, Jamie Foxx, T.I., Rascal Flatts, Pussycat Dolls, Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood earned a pair of nods each.
The nominees in 20 categories were chosen based on record sales. Winners of the American Music Awards are selected by the public, based on a national sampling of approximately 20,000 people.
