Mattel's newly-created Pink Ribbon™ Barbie® doll is supporting the efforts of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
As a kick-off to The Early Show's third annual "Pink For a Week" campaign, visitors to the plaza for the The Saturday Early Show will be receiving the collector's edition doll.
Designed by Robert Best, the Pink Ribbon™ Barbie® is dressed in a pink organza gown that features a signature pink ribbon and a sparkly pink tulle stole. The doll celebrates the incredible strength, beauty and resilience of women.
To purchase your own Pink Ribbon™ Barbie® and do your part in the crusade, visit Barbie Collector.com. The dolls are also available at Target, Wal-Mart and Toys R Us, and sell for $24.95.
A global leader in the fight against breast cancer, the Komen Foundation will receive a minimum of $100,000 from Mattel from the sale of the dolls.
And don't forget to join The Early Show on Monday as we launch our special week-long series, "Pink for a Week," in honor of breast cancer awareness month.
