Jane Fonda Supports Lohan Critics
(CBS)
Jane Fonda is siding with the studio executive who blasted Lindsay Lohan for partying too much, acting like a spoiled child and showing up late for work while filming "Georgia Rules."
In July, James G. Robinson, who heads the company that is producing Lohan's movie, "Georgia Rule," wrote the star a widely publicized letter railing about her immature behavior, partying and constant lateness.
Fonda co-starred in the picture with Lohan. She told NBC's "Today" show that "it was cool" that Robinson wrote the letter to Lohan. Considering Lohan turned 20 while making the picture, Fonda says it was appropriate for someone to tell her to "tone it down."
She says she thinks the letter "made a difference" in Lohan's behavior.
But Fonda says just because she supports the executive, it doesn't mean she dislikes Lohan. In fact, she says she loves her.
In August, acclaimed actor William H. Macy, who stars in "Bobby" with Lohan, told reporters that she was constantly late and he worries for her future, yet admitted that she is a "huge talent."
