Nominated For Best Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series

(CBS)  Elizabeth Perkins made her feature-film debut in the '80's comedy "About Last Night," with Rob Lowe and Demi Moore.

Her breakthrough performance came when she played Tom Hanks' girlfriend in the 1988 film "Big."

Her film credits also include "The Doctor," "He Said, She Said" with Kevin Bacon, "Indian Summer," "Miracle on 34th Street" and "Moonlight and Valentino."

More recently she starred in "The Ring Two" and "Fierce People" directed by Griffin Dunne, and "Must Love Dogs" opposite Diane Lane.

In 2005, Perkins took on the role of calculating PTA president Celia Hodes on the Showtime hit series "Weeds." She received her first Emmy nod for the part the following year.
