The new food nutrition labels have more information than ever, but the facts aren't always easy to digest.
For starters, some fats and sugars can be hard to detect.
On The Early Show Monday, Elisa Zied, a registered dietitian and a spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association, showed viewers some things to watch for when using the labels.
For instance, did you know that food manufacturers are allowed to show that an item has zero grams of something, when that substance, such as trans fats, is actually present in the food?
