Hudson And Robinson Separate
(CBS)
Actress Kate Hudson and her husband, Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson, are separating after nearly six years of marriage, a rep for Hudson confirmed to TheShowBuzz.com.
Hudson, 27, the daughter of actress Goldie Hawn, and Robinson, 39, have a 2½-year old son, Ryder Russell, who was born Jan. 7, 2004. The couple tied the knot on New Year's Eve 2000.
In August 2005, Hudson chatted with "Access Hollywood" cohost Billy Bush in New Orleans, where she filmed the thriller "The Skeleton Key."
Hudson talked candidly with Bush about monogamy and cheating. "Do you believe that monogamy is unrealistic? Can it be done?" Bush asked Hudson.
"Absolutely it can be done," she said. "Do I believe it's realistic? No, I don't. I believe that we as people have the power to make it happen. I will not disrespect my husband and stray."
The actress has several new projects coming up, including "A Dream Of Red Mansions," with Ken Watanabe, and "Fool's Gold" where she'll star opposite Matthew McConaughey.
Hudson received an Oscar nod in 2000 for her role as Penny Lane in the film "Almost Famous."
