TomKat To The Rescue
(CBS)
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes stopped roadside to check on strangers who were in a car accident on Los Angeles' 101 freeway Saturday night.
A rep for Cruise confirms to The ShowBuzz that Cruise and Holmes were on their way home from Los Angeles International Airport on Aug. 12 when they saw Jon Henningsen and his wife parked on the freeway following an apparent car accident.
The celebrity couple got out of their vehicle to talk to the couple and make sure they were not seriously injured, then waited with them until emergency services crews arrived.
Cruise and Holmes, who welcomed their first child, daughter Suri, in April, were returning from Salt Lake City where they attended an exhibition soccer game in which their friend, British soccer star David Beckham, was playing.
Cruise and Holmes got engaged in June 2005.
