The price exceeds the previous high of $3.015 set in July, analyst Trilby Lundberg said.

A gallon of mid-grade gasoline averaged around $3.13, and premium averaged $3.23.

Gas prices are hurting everyone! Ford, Chevy, hurting and laying people off!!!? Why, If the goverment truly cares about the American people, take MOST of the profits that the OIL CO's are making (Retirement bonus of 400 million!!!!COME ON!!):>( and the fuel tax money and start building cars that get 60-70 miles to the gallon! Better yet, that run on CORN! TOOO much greed out there! Forget the OIL. The oil companies and the federal goverment are going to suck all the money they can out of the people. WE THE PEOPLE have just about had ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!
