Kanye West On Rolling Stones Tour

(CBS)  The Rolling Stones have invited rap superstar Kanye West to perform with them on their "A Bigger Bang" world tour. West will appear with the Stones on Sept. 20 at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., Sept. 23 at Halifax Commons in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and on Sept. 27 at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

During the past decade, the Rolling Stones have invited an eclectic and high-profile group of artists to perform with them, including Stevie Wonder, Pearl Jam, the Dave Matthews Band and Metallica.

West's debut album, "The College Dropout," has sold more than 3 million copies since its release in February 2004. The album spawned the hits "Jesus Walks" and "Slow Jamz." The single "Gold Digger" featuring Jamie Foxx from West's triple-platinum 2005 sophomore album, "Late Registration," held the top spot on the Billboard 100 singles chart for 10 weeks.

Each of West's albums earned Grammys for Best Rap Album, and he's earned a total of four more awards as a songwriter and performer.

West also will be performing with U2 in November for several dates in Australia and New Zealand.

Tickets for the "A Bigger Bang" tour are already on sale. The Rolling Stones will be offering special onstage seating to 200 fans as part of the stadium set.
