Mother-In-Law Sent Packing To Miami
(CBS)
After two months on the road in two Winnebagos, The Early Show's "Great American Vacation" tour made its 16th and final stop in Little Rock, Ark. on Friday, to give away a fabulous getaway!
In a letter to The Early Show, Michele James wrote that her mother-in-law, Patricia, is in need of some "big-time fun" and that she has never been to the beach or flown on a plane.
That's all about to change with a trip for two to Miami.
The romantic getaway takes place at Miami's beautiful Ritz-Carlton on South Beach.
Patricia and her husband, David, will enjoy a massage at the hotel's four-star spa, lounge on a day bed on the VIP deck overlooking the ocean and get front-row seats to the synchronized swimming pool performance. There's lunch at the Dilido Beach Club, and a candlelight dinner at Americana — one of Miami Beach's most celebrated restaurants.
The vacation will start and finish with the Ritz-Carlton's travel butler taking them to and from the airport.
Airfare is courtesy of our "Great American Vacation" travel partner, American Airlines.
"I have nothing but good things to say about her. I knew this would be perfect for her because she's always doing things for my husband and I, and I thought I could do something special for her," Michele said about nominating Patricia.
